Please recommend your air purifier.

We want to put an air purifier in our bedroom.  Any suggestions?

Re: Please recommend your air purifier.

  • Our bedroom is relatively small, so we use a "Honeywell permanent true HEPA round air purifier with germ reduction" 50100-model. It was about $100 bucks at Home Depot and does a good job. We also have a larger version of the same thing, the 50250-model for our main living space, I think that was about $300. I like that with these models you don't ever need to replace the actual filter, just vacuum it and replace the inexpensive 'pre-filter' every couple of months, and it has a sensor to tell you when its necessary.

We live in a new construction home in a subdivision still under construction so its always dusty here, and within a few days of getting them in, we noticed significantly less construction dust and dirt when cleaning. Our allergy symptoms were also a little bit better.
