Today we are a plum.
Tomorrow I have my NT scan, which checks for measurements in the nuchal fold (indicators of Downs or other genetic issues like Trisomy 18). I'm praying for a healthy baby, of course, but I'm also excited to see it at 12 weeks. One of the girls on the Bump recently posted a link to a YouTube video of her 12-week scan and the baby looks like a human being now instead of a little blob! It was moving around like crazy and you could see distinct fingers / hands!!! I can't wait to see this tomorrow morning.
And then on Friday, we have our monthly OBGYN appmt (the NT scan is at another facility) and DH gets to come to that one (he has to be at work for tomorrow's appmt). I can't wait for him to see the baby moving around, too.

Oh honey the end of the pregnancy will feel like it last forever. Then you have that baby and it is all forgotten. Then while you watch them grow you will blink and they will be 18 and you wonder where the time went. Sigh. Yes I write this with tears in my eyes.
