5. What do you do now that you aren't consumed with planning a wedding? Working on trying to plan other people's weddings....but mostly working on trying to buy a house.

9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? (his dad passed away 10 years ago so this is about his mom) Yes....I do she's a nice lady. Though last night at dinner she double dipped her bread into the olive oil (MAJOR gross out pet peve) and she tells the same stories over and over.

haha my mom is Italian and super warm and loves to cook and feed him so who wouldn't like that. Thought he said when he first met her she made him nervous (us little Italian ladies are TOUGH!)

3. Where did you go on your honeymoon? No where...1 year trip in the works.
4. Favorite thing about married life? I dont know, it seems mostly the same as before. I just loooove him.
5. What do you do now that you aren't consumed with planning a wedding? I am working a lot, and doing some sewing and scrapbooking.
6. Expecting? TTC? No babies? What's the plan stan! Nothing in the works quite yet. We will TTC in a few years.
7. One thing you love about your DH: He allllways makes me laugh. Even about the stupidest things. The ability to put a smile on my face at any time is great.
8. One thing you can't stand about your DH: He works a ton. Like 100+ hours a week some weeks during football season. It will get better come February.
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? I do. They are different than my parents (a lot different) but they are good people.
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not: I think so. They are letting us live with them rent free, and we can all hang out and have a good time with a lot less awkwardness than it used to be.

4. Favorite thing about married life? Ohhhh IDK. Life is pretty much the same, just has this little glimmer of extra happiness in the air.

7. One thing you love about your DH He's always affectionate and not afraid to be that way in public (not in a gross way though). And he cooks, and he's really funny. Sorry that was 3...
8. One thing you can't stand about your DH When he pokes me and talks to me at 7 am on a Saturday because he's awake and bored. And he always leaves his socks and underwear on the floor (I started letting the dog steal it)
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? LOVE. My MIL is one of my favorite people -- so fun, so nice. My FIL can talk a little too much and is a close talker but a great man. My SIL has her issues but, hey, don't we all?
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not Yep. They're pretty easy-going, not much not to like.

3. Where did you go on your honeymoon? Ireland - should have been one blissful week, but thanks to the Icelandic volcano it was one blissful week and five somewhat stressful days!
4. Favorite thing about married life? Living together, taking care of each other and dreaming about the future together
5. What do you do now that you aren't consumed with planning a wedding? Haha, all of the things I should have been doing while I was planning a wedding! You know, being (somewhat) productive at work, that sort of thing.
6. Expecting? TTC? No babies? What's the plan stan! We will start trying probably next year sometime. We want to get a couple of big trips under our belt before we invite any juniors to the party.
7. One thing you love about your DH He's so supportive. Probably to the point that he should tell me "no" sometimes (I tend to want to try everything), but I love him.
8. One thing you can't stand about your DH He leaves dirty dishes all over the kitchen and living room, even when the dishwasher is empty. Gross. I can't complain too much, though, he definitely pulls his weight around the house.
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? Yes - they're kind people. A little quirky sometimes, but I love them.
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not He loves them. Maybe I'm biased, but I think they're about the funnest people ever, and he spends time with my dad hanging out with his horses. My parents adore him, he's the son they never had!

4. Favorite thing about married life? Everything! Seriously, just this feeling that we have that our relationship is more "permanent" now. Hard to describe, but you just "feel" it!
5. What do you do now that you aren't consumed with planning a wedding?
I've kind of kept my hand in the cookie jar a bit, since my MOH was engaged and I helped her a lot, and I have had three other friends get married within the past couple of months as well. In fact, this Saturday we have another engagement party to go to...so, I'm still getting my wedding fix on :-)

I'd like to try for at least one, but H is not 100% there. We had agreed to be a childless couple, but I've kind of changed my position. He's not totally against it, but he thinks that it's too soon...we'll probably end up adopting at this rate, which would be just fine by me!
7. One thing you love about your DH:
His loyalty, how affectionate he is, his sense of humor, and his beautiful blue/gray eyes!. This is not a fickle man, and he doesn't rush into things, so when he was ready to go the distance, I knew he was in it for the long haul :-)
8. One thing you can't stand about your DH:
Not much, but as mentioned above, he doesn't rush into things - he is big on taking his time and examing all aspects before making a decision. This is good at times, and not so much at others! For example: I want to redo the deck, porches and the siding on the house, and he is still taking his time about when...Oy!
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? His Mom passed, but his Dad is pretty cool. He is quiet, and doesn't talk much, but you can see the love and laughter in his eyes!
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not - Yes, he loves my peeps! They are just a funny couple, and easy to get along with :-)

Not much. We're just trying to take it easy and save money.

We would like to start TTC soon, but we're trying to pay off some debt and I'm saving up vacation time. But hopefully within the next year.
7. One thing you love about your DH: His goofiness. I can be in the worst mood and he will start up and I just can't not laugh. He makes me giggle and I love him for it!
8. One thing you can't stand about your DH: His long winded stories. He has good stories to tell me, but they take forever and he goes off on 5 tangents before he gets to the end. I constantly have to remind him where he was in the actual story.
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? I do like my MIL, she's older and retired and just enjoying her life right now. She's not uptight about anything. H's father died 20 years ago, so I never got to meet him and MIL has never even dated anyone since.
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not - He deals with them. We both come from very different families and he's not quite used to the family dynamic yet. And I will admit that my parents can be weird and difficult for me sometimes.

5. What do you do now that you aren't consumed with planning a wedding? Grad school in Aerospace Engineering while working full time completely consumes my life. I still find time for CrossFit though, but not much else.
6. Expecting? TTC? No babies? What's the plan stan! I have just under a year to finish my degree, then probably take some time to enjoy life and relax, but we will be TTC not too long after I graduate.
7. One thing you love about your DH He is He cars so much about me
8. One thing you can't stand about your DH He complains about me leaving stuff out when he does exactly the same thing
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? I do, they are really nice people.
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not He does, he even went to visit them when he was in CA for work, and I was not there. He drove an hour each way to have dinner with them twice, and he was out there less than a week. I thought that was really nice, and I had not even mentioned it to him because I figured it would be too hard on him.
My family is all engineers and scientists, so DH fits right in.

8. One thing you can't stand about your DH I can't really think of anything. I think that after dating for 6 years before we got married I knew all his habits (good and bad) and they have become something that don't really bother me anymore.
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? I love my in-laws. They are great people. I have known them my whole life and since I started dating DH they have always made me feel accepted and part of the family.

3. Where did you go on your honeymoon? Cruise to cayman islands, Cosumel, Roatan, Beilze. I loved each stop but HATED the cruise part. It made me closterphobic (sp?) but ee still had a great time.
4. Favorite thing about married life? It's hard to say. I love every part of it, being his wife, becoming a stepmother to his darling daughter (9 yrs old), etc.
5. What do you do now that you aren't consumed with planning a wedding? Right now we're planning a surprise trip to Disney World in early June as a surprise for SD. I can't wait! She's going to be beyond thrilled!

7. One thing you love about your DH He's funny, very handy, considerate, loving, handsome, honest, just an all around great man. I'm so glad to have him!
8. One thing you can't stand about your DH He never puts his dishes in the dishwasher always in th esink or on the counter. He's so extremly ticklish that he always flinches when I hug him.
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? Yes. They're nice people but I wish they would call befor ethey come over & not just show up. I like his brother Okay but he's weird - terrible manners and extremly socially awkward. He's just gross a lot of the time. Eew. He's the complete opposite of DH. I think their mom baby-ed him too much when he was little & still does.
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not? Of course, they call before they come over or don't come unless invited.
I forgot to say that we're renovating the house. Right now we're painting the outside. Exhausting! Next, we're getting new kitchen counter tops, tileing the laundry room & hallway, installin new oven & stovetop, the list goes on & on.

3. Where did you go on your honeymoon? Sandals Royal Bahamian - I want to go back SO badly!!!!
4. Favorite thing about married life? Just going home to him - we didn't live together before the wedding, so I love living together

10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not? Yes, absolutely! My parents love him and they get along really well. Of course, that is very very important to me.

7. One thing you love about your DH: His sense of humor, he makes me laugh constantly.
8. One thing you can't stand about your DH: He's a Cowboys fan... yuck.
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? DH was raised by his aunt and, yes, I love her. Even if I didn't care for her personality (which I do like), the extent of sacrifices she had to make in her life to raise DH would make me think the world of her. I will say though that I'm still not totally "myself" around her the way I am with my family.
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not. I would say yes. I'm not close with my dad and he's "eh" about my dad mostly based on what I've told him. But I'm very close with my mom and her and DH get along great.

3. Where did you go on your honeymoon? Negril, Jamaica
4. Favorite thing about married life? Knowing we'll always be together, no matter what. The title and name change is nice too :-)
5. What do you do now that you aren't consumed with planning a wedding? I'm knitting (or rather attemptin to) a sweater for my 2 month old niece, for Christmas when she is 4 mo! Also trying to read my health books that I've had for years but never sat down and read them. Also doing a 9 month cleanse (see my blog).
6. Expecting? TTC? No babies? What's the plan stan! No babies, DH has 2 kids (boy 14, girl 11) who are great and I am happy with that!
7. One thing you love about your DH. He is very affectionate, VERY patient with me and really appreciates me and what I do for our household and the kids.
8. One thing you can't stand about your DH. When he chews sometimes he opens his mouth and makes smacking noises. It's very annoying.
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? MIL has some issues but she is very generous and always means well. Even though she can be very negative and sharp tongued sometimes. So for me she's "eh".
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not. DH gets along great with my dad, and when my mom was around he knew her and got along well (at the time she knew him he was just my boss) My grandma loves him :-) She thinks he's great!

4. Favorite thing about married life? Pretty much everything! My parents are much more comfortable with us now ( we lived together before and they weren't big fans!) Having a new last name.
5. What do you do now that you aren't consumed with planning a wedding? Decorate our house. We bought a foreclosure and we pretty much did everything ourselves when it came to fixing it up. We're still working we've pretty much personalized everything!

7. One thing you love about your DH: How much he cares...about everything! Me, our pets, family, and when he is working on something he puts every effort into it and makes sure it is done right.

5. What do you do now that you aren't consumed with planning a wedding? Actually, I've been helping FIL & his Fi plan their wedding next year. That, and we're becoming very involved at our church.
6. Expecting? TTC? No babies? What's the plan stan! We need to get the ok from his oncologist before we can TTC (which might be in a few months!), but now it's starting to sound like maybe in 2 years... I need to lose some weight first anyways
7. One thing you love about your DH That he seems to know the right thing to say when I don't
8. One thing you can't stand about your DH Sometimes he gets too emotional over very minor things
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? On most days! FIL can be a bit frustrating, but BIL is the most difficult to deal with...
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not I think so; he likes my mom more than his own, but not too close to my dad (though neither am I). But he gets along with both because he respects them well.

8. One thing you can't stand about your DH: He leaves empty cartons everywhere, especially sad when it's popsicles or cookes because I think there are still some in there, lol.
9. Do you like your IL's? Why or why not? My in-laws are a bit close-minded so when they found out that I was bi-racial that was a bit interesting. They have learned and grown lots. I think they are wonderful. I love 'em.
10. Does your DH like your parents? Why or why not. Yes, he LOVES my dad, it's the weirdest thing ever, lol. He loves my mom too and enjoys joking with her all the time over the phone.
