What am I making for dinner tonight?
I am totally out of ideas. Last night I resorted to cheeseburger helper (which is delicious for lunch right now!)
Give me your ideas!!!
Re: What am I making for dinner tonight?
I totally have speghettios in my pantry too!!!!!!!!!!
MMmm I love cheeseburger helper! Unfortuneatly HH doesn't like any kind of hamburger helper so I never get to make it =[
We're having leftover chicken pot pie tonight. How about tacos? Homemade pizza?
I actually thought about tacos! But homemade pizza sounds fab also!!!
I'm not THAT adventurous tonight... Can sauce for sure lol
No way lol I buy pouches of Martha White pizza dough mix and sauce in a jar.
We do not have this place called Publix here. I just want you to know that I guess I am a pervert or something but everytime I see this name I think Pubics and I start to laugh. Then I pull myself together and say grocery store Hello Pamila. Just had to share sorry I know this is a food post.
We are going for sushi tonight sigh so I am of no use to you. Sorry!!
YUM! I have them in my pantry too!!!! We are having the shredded chicken tacos tonight!
Sounds like tacos are pretty popular tonight
Well, I'll be having leftovers - ham and a cornbread I made from scratch. Originally we'd had green beans as well but those are gone now.
I love cooking & baking things from scratch but I've never made my own pizza dough or sauce.
The one week I kind of prepare DH is out studying every night! I'm also going out of town Sat-Mon.
I made a tuna noodle casserole the other night (we call it tuna-matata). Planned on making some chicken tenders (was just going to throw things together for the coating) with roasted veggies. Last night it was just me and I made myself a boboli pizza. I also got ingredients for making burritos one night.
We're going to the State Fair tonight... so I will be eating lots of fried, fatty, not so great for my a$$ goodness!
Fletcher's Corn Dogs (the best ever and the ORIGINAL corn dog, invented at the Texas State Fair) are a must. And they have inspired a competition they have every year for the nest new fried food. The entries this year were LAME. Fried Frito Chili Pie won best taste and Fried Beer (pretzel pocket filled with Shiner Bock, sealed and deep fried) won most creative. Last years entries and winners were way better.
I will also be having roasted corn on the cob. And possibly some fried oreos. Yum.
Yes... I WILL be at the gym for like 3 hours tomorrow.
I love the Publix! We don't have them here, but when we go to visit my aunt and uncle in Florida, we go to the Publix. I don't know why I like it so much, it's just a grocery store, but I do. Strangely enough, I think it's the simplicity of the packaging for their store brand food. It's aesthetically pleasing. LOL. And whenever I watch Good Eats with Alton Brown, I can immediately identify Publix brand products. Yes. I am a nerd.
I also can't wait for the fair!! I know we discussed this a while ago, but the fair starts this Friday!! Can't wait for greasy food!!! We don't ride the rides, but seriously just go for the food.
and ON topic now: I'll probably making homemade barbecue. I have a pork tenderloin in the freezer, just saute some onions, season and sear the meat, then pour in a bottle of BBQ sauce and let it simmer in the sauce for an hour or so. It should just pull apart and be super tender. Put it on a hamburger bun and there you have it!!
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
Me to!! And I agree! lol I'd never been in a Publix until this past May when we went to Florida on our honeymoon. I loved it! lol I really wish we had one here.
