Freaking out, Tmi...

I found what appears to be a small wart on my inner thigh, while I was waxing my bikini line.  At first I thought it was a pimple or ingrown hair, but after poking around a bit, I can tell it's not.  I have had a few warts on my hands before and it looks just like that.  Could it be HPV?

I will be going to the doctor asap, but tonight a million things are running through my head.  I have been tested every year since I have been 18 and for HPV every since testing became available.  I have been with my husband for 6 years and so now I am worried that he could have cheated on me. From what I can tell by reading online is that it can easily be removed, but I am more worried about how I possibly got it, if it is HPV.

Re: Freaking out, Tmi...

  • Here's another possibility: I developed a skin tag (it looks like a mole) and my OB said it was fine and no big deal during my pregnancy. Definitely get it checked if you're worried.
  • I wouldn't panic or jump to the conclusion that your husband cheated. I've had HPV for years and have never had warts.  I'm sure it's nothing, like PP said, maybe a skin tag.  Definately get it checked out to ease your mind though.

Actually, I'm curious as to why you jumped to this conclusion?  Sounds like someone has some trust issues.

    Definitely this.

Yes, I do have major trust issues, I wish I didn't, but I jump to that conclusion when it comes to this stuff.  My best friend found out via std that her DH was cheating on her and that is my worst fear.

  • Why are you sleeping with a man you don't trust? Why are you still married to a man you don't trust?
  • Just calm down, take a few deep breaths.

Let's not make a mountain out of a wart.

I do trust him as much as I can trust anyone. I know I have issues that I do not want to get into on here. I am in counseling and working on it.
