Need Dessert inspiration

My brother and his family are driving in from MN to visit my parents in Milwaukee this weekend. Gary and I are heading up to see them, and my sister/her family live up there. Mom's going to serve us all tacos for dinner the night we're there.

Before I know it was tacos, I offered to bring a dessert. Now I'm not quite sure what to do. What goes good with tacos? DH wants me to stop at Taco Bell and get cinnamon sticks. *eyeroll*

Any suggestions? Requirements:

- Feeds 13, 5 of which will be between the ages of 2 and 10

- Nut/Seed Free a plus, but not required

- Travels well (90 minutes) OR is easy to make on the spot

Before you even mentioned it, I was already thinking cinnamon. Cinnamon crumb cake has been one of my recent obsessions. Here's a yummy recipe: http://www.bigcitylittlekitchen.com/2007/07/24/family-recipe-cinnamon-crumble-coffee-cake/ The key is to make sure it's moist, which this recipe is, and obviously you don't need to add the nuts. You can also make it in advance and throw it in the oven for a few minutes to warm it up when you arrive. It would also go extremely well with vanilla ice cream (if you can get some there or have someone get it for you) to offset the spicy Mexican food. HTH!

So I saw this and it sounded so de-lish that I offered to make a cake for our next family party in November...I usually never offer because I am afraid I will mess up! I'm excited to taste it!

Anything chocolate goes with tacos--chocolate lava cake, brownies, dark chocolate cake, hot chocolate (Mexican style) with biscochos.

I made a flourless chocolate cake that used polenta (sounds strange but it was really really good) and chili powder in the recipe that was fab. Totally transportable. However, I can't remember where i got the recipe and google is failing me.

I've never made this recipe but you could try it out before hand and see how it turns out. It seems super simple.

It's easy to take prepared mixes and add stuff. We made cupcakes out of dark chocolate cake mix with cinnamon added and Lemon cupcakes with lime added...mexican chocolate and margarita cupcakes!
