Aaaand I got flamed.

Apparently, I am not allowed to show my dismay at all the new girls who got KU after a month or two when I and many of the regulars have been trying a lot longer. My bad.

Re: Aaaand I got flamed.

  • I don't think you are wrong for feeling the way you do at all.  I know that the thought never even crossed my mind to post on any other boards than this one when I found out I was pregnant.  That is the kind of news that you share with your home board.  I think some people on the GP board just post that they got their BFP because they want to hear "Congratulations!" and while there isn't anything wrong with that, I can see how it would sting if it was someone you didn't really "know" on that board.

Confession (and I may dd this part because I am ashamed to admit it):  I often feel really guilty about the fact that I got pregnant without really trying.  I feel even more guilty when I get down in the dumps about how much my life is going to change-  I know I am going to have to give up some liberties and I feel so selfish for being upset about that.  There are people that want to be pregnant so badly and here I am thinking negatively about what someone would consider a complete joy.

  • PS- I deleted the thread because it was getting very negative and out of hand.

  • I didn't get to see it, but I hope they're nicer about DD's than other boards.  I hope they didn't repost...
  • I'm sorry you got flamed, Kel.  I used to lurk over there, and I remember they were BRUTAL on the drive by BFPs or the girls gloating who got KU after one month.  It seems like it's a different crowd there now, most of the old regulars moved over to GP Moms.  I didn't see your post over there, but you have every right to voice your opinions!  TTC can be a very frustrating process.  I'm sending you lots & lots of KU dust!!

Well, my post was basically a comment about all the recent BFPs that are so new that I don't even recognze their names when they announce. I was not mean about it at all, just wondering if anyone else had noticed the trend (there were literally like 6 in the last 2 weeks) and I said it was pretty tough on me. But, one of the BFP girls said I had a bad attitude and many others agreed with me and started coplaining about the newbie girls who introduce themselves, never post anything, and then announce their BFP 2 months later. This was not the intention of my thread so I got rid of it. Everyone was pretty cool though. I've been on the board longer than many of them, so it wasn't too bad. In fact, a bunch of girls yelled at me for DDing because it was the most exciting thread to happen in a while. Big Smile
