My Nest Bio and Cycling Advice
Good morning. I'm happy to report that the air cleaner(s) seem to be doing their job and I only sneezed once last night and not at all this morning. Yay! Unfortunately, we had our first puke incident. I think one of our kitties ate too fast. Poor thing. She seems to be back to her AW self this morning though. Yes, one of our kitties is a total AW, lol. She's cute and she knows it, and uses it to her advantage. The other makes improvements on her shyness every day. The two are playing together more and more. The sound of "kitty thunder" is common in our house now.
I saw the GI doctor yesterday and she was able to pinpoint the area that was more tender and said that it was the gallbladder. I have to have a gallbladder function test to determine if that's the cause of my pain last week or if we need to look in another direction. If the function tests are poor, I likely will need to have it removed before an emergency situation occurs. I also told her about my father's hemachromatosis and we discussed how that makes me a carrier at least. She agreed that it could be the key to the puzzle for my liver issues and we'll continue to monitor it. So far, my iron levels are only slightly elevated and don't warrant any changes yet. I gotta' say... it's kind of a relief that it's genetic. I'm sure my weight hasn't helped matters, but at least now we know.
... and on that note, my dad continues to improve. He's gained 10 lbs now and his x-rays showing the fluid around his lungs/stomach are dramatically improved. They are talking about removing the "port" in a few weeks. He no longer has the catheter and is now able to drive again. Mom said they are starting to take very short walks and going out for dinner again.
Sorry, that was hella long for a Good Morning post. I'm too lazy to post any of that as a TPT!
Oh, and happy birthday to Noelle's DH!
