Recommend your cleaning lady/service
Hi Ladies, I've decided to bite the bullet and hire a cleaning service. I just can't stay on top of it with working full time and the kiddos. Any recommendations? TIA!
Re: Recommend your cleaning lady/service
we use Maid Especially For You. they are out of Hastings and we live in Eagan.
they do all our floors, clean all 3 bathooms including trash and dust/wipe down counters for $75 bi-weekly.
I have not personally used this company, but they were highly recommended to me by one of my neighbors: http://aaronsgreencleaning.com/
Apparently, he's an artist who started a cleaning company as his "day job", and he hires other artists to provide them with a flexible job with a living wage while they pursue their art--I love this idea! Also, they're a "green" cleaning company, which is super important to me.
Another factor that was really important to me when I was researching this was to hire small, local independent companies. Some of the big corporate style cleaning companies do not pay their employees well, and some of their cleaning practices are a little...icky (has anyone read Nickle and Dimed?). I personally feel more comfortable directly hiring an individual that I know is well-compensated and who's personally invested in their business. It makes me feel better ethically, and also in terms of trusting them in my home.
Just some things to think about
