Coffee and sleeping pants

So nice.

Yesterday was my day off.. now I would like to note that I did do a few things around the house.. but I stayed in my jammas until DH got home at 2:30. I slept 11 hours, until 10 am, drank coffee and just chilled.

Today, I work a crazy schedule (12p-4p, 9p-4a) but the important part is that I don't go in until noon. So here I sit, drinking coffee in my sleepin pants (that's what DH calls jammas, lol)

Life is good.

Re: Coffee and sleeping pants

  • Ugh, wish it was me.  I had to get up at 7 and haven't even gotten to play with my nephew, who has been asleep since just before I got here, which means I have to wake him up soon for lunch and then his swimming class.  Which means he'll be crabby.  Fun!
  • That's a crazy split shift, I think I would still be sitting in my jammies drinking coffee.

Will you come home between the two and at least take a nap?

  • Oh no Larissa! Hopefully he's excited to see his Auntie and won't be crabby!

And yes, I plan on coming home in between shifts. Probably do a load of laundry, make dinner, and then try to get some sleep!

  • I do have to say that I do NOT wish your schedule on myself.  No way could I handle that.  A crabby 9-month-old is much easier.  I think.  I'll have to let you know after class this afternoon.  ;-)
  • You've got quite the schedule - sheesh. Glad you've got some time at home though!

I wish I was in my PJs...I've had this whacked-out sleep cycle all week. Fell asleep at 9, woke up at midnight, out again at 4. Ridiculous.

  • Work has been pretty hectic lately. It feels like I have soo much to do and not enough time to do it. But that is what comes with moving up I suppose. I've been working 50hr + work weeks, but I can't complain much... DH has been doing that since the tail end of January...

My schedule isn't always THIS crazy, won't say that it isn't crazy, but not this bad all the time. The KU/KSU game is tonight, in Lawrence. That means we're going to be super busy. Plus, it's Thursday so I have to go in to do the order for the weekend. So from 12-4 I'll be doing the  order and then cooking for the pre-game rush, then 9p-4a I'll be cooking for the after game/bar rush. Fun times.

Ebonie- that is a pretty whacked out sleep cycle! Maybe it's because Joe's coming home? I hope it doesn't stay that crazy for too long!

  • I stayed in my pjs until 11 this morning! It's so nice!
