I've never even been to a Wegmans but everyone that lives in those areas love it.... I just saw on boston.com it's coming to Northborough. I'm excited to check it out whenever it opens!
Re: Wegmans coming to MA?!
What is a Wegman?
OMG! You're going to love Wegmans! I currently live in Upstate NY and am in the process of relocating to Metro West and Wegman's was one of the few things that I was going to really miss about the area that we are in now. Let's put it this way, I was trying to figure out how to mail yogurt so that my sister could keep us supplied. :-P
They are really amazing. Tons of prepared foods that are actually good, and fairly healthy; amazing produce and meat department; 'Nature's Marketplace' which has tons of organic and eco-friendly products as well as Gluten Free, Vegan and Vegetarian, etc.
Personally, I have tried lots of their store brand products and I have yet to find one that isn't actually BETTER than the national brand I was previously buying!
Check out their website: www.wegmans.com
** The first time you go, try to get a Beef on a Weck (over in prepared foods) It's essentially a roast beef sandwich, carved to order and put on a really yummy roll. Yum!
OMG! haha DH and I just moved back up here from DC and they have Wegmans there. He kept asking if there'd be a Wegmans in MA.
We used to go on date nights there, you can get a seat at the bar and order beer or wine and have them cook your order right in front of you.
They had the most amazing cheese rolls, I used to buy them out and then freeze them.
yay!
