This morning I saw my sweet little baby! We did the NT scan and I got to watch it jumping around and waving it's arms at us and trying to suck it's thumb. It also either was yawning or had hiccups because it kept opening it's mouth a few times in a row. Amazing.
Anyway, I say I have a stubborn baby because s/he refused to lie down flat on it's back, which is the ideal position for the measurement they need to take for the NT scan's purpose. She did get one usable shot, though, and assured me everything looked great and it has a good strong hb of 164. Baby preferred to sit up like it's in a lounge chair - all it needs is a martini glass and it will be all set. ;-)
Anway, we got about 7 pics to take home so I'm going to post them on FB tonight when we make our big public announcement. It's so cute already! I'd post here but I'm at work and technologically dumb so just picture a cute 12 wk old baby looking adorably babylike in mommy's womb. :-)
Re: I have a stubborn baby!
I was wondering the same thing, but yay for pictures! My mom drank mt. dew once before an ultra sound of my sister and she wouldn't lay still either lol
DH and I told both our sets of parents at 5 1/2 weeks and we told friends after our 8 week appmt. So our families and good friends all now.
We're just "announcing to the world" on FB tonight but the inner circle of people who should be told in person or first already know. I'm telling my boss on Monday and coworkers a little later in the week when we can get together for lunch. (I am not FB friends with anyone I currently work with).
I bought a pregnancy journal several weeks back and also a baby book for the little one. I've also been doing belly photos every 4 weeks, starting with Week 4 when we first found out. Which reminds me I have to do Week 12 shots tonight!
Hahahaha I was going to post this exact same thing!
Have I mentioned we had a martini bar at our reception? (Which I am still bitter that I never even got to have ONE!)
Baby takes after it's mama already.
I guess if you both have girls be thankful that they are modest!!!
Your baby sounds awesome. :-) I'm glad everything went well.
Hahah - well there IS one picture where it also appears to be sticking out it's little tongue (several friends have commented on this) and I said "It's being fresh already" and my one friend said "Must take after its mama." ;-)
Yes, if it's a girl it's a good thing she's not flashing her hooha all over town just yet! LOL
