Dog park vs. evil neighbor - it gets better!
OP: http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/43702293.aspx
Oh
boy, this is good. I had commented that the water feature was super
duper gross because there was no way to drain the old water. Well....DH
was there last night and said that they came up with a solution to getting
the water out. Are you ready? Are you sitting?
Their solution....

Hahahaha..........hahahhahaa
Really? That is silly. I would definitely not let my dogs drink out of there. There is no way you can get all the nasty bugs out by using turkey basters.
Did you have to hold yourself from laughing at her?
*M&M* Super Pitbulls
DH was going to take a picture but there were too many people around. I'll get one eventually! :-)
There is no way I want my dogs drinking out of this monstrosity. We'll be bringing our own water and dish.
I almost want to call the city myself and "tattle" because it's just not safe to have all that gross standing water in there. If Evil Neighbor was blamed for it disappearing then that would be awesome.
Apparently these people (I guess 4-5 "regulars") have been planning this for a YEAR. A YEAR.
WOW...you'd think at some point in the last year they'd think about calling the city first. Lots of smart ones in that group!
Oh they called the city. And were denied. I wonder why!? Maybe because their plan was bad? Hmm.
The other dog park in the city has a water spigot/fountain thing that services the dog park, baseball fields, and a playground. There is no standing water and you still need to bring your own dish. No problem, happy to do it.
I'm still kind of dumbfounded this all went down.
My official stance is I think it's DUMB and the park better not get shut down because of someone else being an idiot.

LOL that is to funny & gross all at the same time. What did they think the water fairies will just come down & take the water away?
