As you may remember, my grandmaw and mom own a restaurant in Grand Isle, La where the majority of oil washed up from the BP spill. As a result business was down 80% this summer into now. They filed a claim with BP months ago. A new agency took over in August and they had to start the claims process all over again. Many business owners, fishermen, and others have recieved their first claims check recently. Unfourtunitly, my mom and grandmaw have not. They are down to nothing left except what ever restaurant makes that week. They are going round and round with the claims office, the mayors office, fiendberg's office and now my mom has contacted the local news' action reporter. If they don't get the clamis money ASAP they will have no choice but to close the doors. My mom is so stressed.
Just keep my family in your thoughts. I didn't even know it was THAT bad until just now. It's really hard for my mom seeing all these other people getting their money and being able to get on with life while she is still fighting every day. They deserve to be able to get on with life and their business after all this BP mess!
