We are moving into a new house shortly. The house was completely renovated in 2007 with all new appliances. When we viewed it, it was very clean and well maintained. I'm sure that when we take possession, it will be left very clean. With that said, I still want to do my "own clean" to sort of "wipe away" the previous owners.
What do I need to do to clean the dishwasher (inside). Can I run bleach through it? I am planning on definitely running a cycle with vinegar.
Are there any other tips for the other appliances?
Re: Cleaning the dishwasher
Ditto the pp... don't use bleach. Clean out the food trap and run an empty load with just white vinegar. If you feel the need to use something other than vinegar, there is a dishwasher cleaning product on the market (I think jetdry makes it). It's a one-time use thing. I've never used it though, so I don't know how well it works. I just run vinegar through mine.
As for the rest of the appliances, hot water and vinegar should take care of most everything. You might need something stronger if there's any baked on messes on the stove/oven, but for the most part the vinegar/water should be fine. Make sure you take the refridgerator apart completely. You'd be surprised what lurks in the drawer and shelf guides.

I've used the Jetdry cleaner before...I think it works just as well as vinegar. So if you have vinegar just use that.
My dishwasher has little rubber bands around the edges that I took out and cleaned out too...a lot of gunk builds up there if you have them too.
So glad I asked! Thanks everyone!!!
