Can anyone reccommend a good vacation spot in NC? Somewhere for a weekend with a 6 month old baby? Been looking into Asheville.. Kinda hesitant on myrtle beach, rather save that for warmer weather. Thanks for any input!
Re: Good Vacation Spot
I love Asheville! I went to school at Western Carolina so the mountains are a special place to me
There's lots of neat downtown shopping in Asheville. Its very ecclectic and has so many neat things. There is also the Biltmore House and you're not a far jump for the blue ridge parkway. There are lots of local restaurants in the downtown area as well.
If you go towards Boone and Blowing Rock there are lots of companies that rent cabins for the weekend. If you're looking for a more relaxing do less weekend. I like downtown Boone (There's a restaurant called "Our Daily Bread" that is a must eat everytime we go!) and Blowing Rock has outlets and nice local restaurants. Just make sure its not an Appalachian State home game...that place is traffic galore during home games!

I really like Asheville, although snow could be an issue depending on when you are going.
Wilmington is also fun.
