speaking of belly buttons....
who has theirs pierced? For how long? And when do you plan on taking it out?
I got mine done when I was 15 (22 now)... crap that was forever ago. I'm still trying decide when to take mine out-- before pregnancy? When I get too fat in pregnancy? idk
Re: speaking of belly buttons....
I got mine pierced when I was 16 (now 26) and I actually took mine out the day of the wedding. I thought I could see it when the wedding dress was on, even tho no one else saw it.
Mine isn't pierced, but if it was I'd take it out when I found out I was pregnant.
I can't remember how old I was when I got mine pierced...I wanna say 17 because I remember calling my mom from the piercing place to get her permission? I am going to be 27 in a few more weeks, so about 10 year now.
I have a blue barbell in right now - it was my "something blue" hahahaha
I still like it...I know they're not "in style" anymore (do teenage girls still get this pierced?? I'm leaning towards no, I haven't seen any pierced bb's at the beach or anything recently) but I've had it for so long it just looks strange without it.
I'll probably end up leaving it in until I get super fat with baby.
I still really like mine too! Hmmmm I'm not positive if people are still getting it done or not. Maybe they do it, it's just not as big of a deal as it was back then. I remember I had to be the first to get it done and it was SO OMG! haha
I got mine pierced when I was 21, and I loved it. Sadly, my body did not; it took forever to heal, and then it gradually "grew out," if that makes sense. I guess my body "rejected" it.
Anyway, I took it out about two years later, and I miss it to this day.
To make things worse, I still have the big holes. It looks like I could slip a ring right back in there, but I can't-- I've tried.
Mine didn't hurt at all. Except when I was leaving the tattoo place and I got my seatbelt caught on it.... OUCH!!!
That happened to me too!! Then I rolled over on it that night and it got caught in a snag in the sheets
I had a very sore belly button for a couple days. It didn't hurt when it was done though
It really wasn't bad at all. Getting my ears pierced was about a hundred times worse. Of course, they pierced my ears with some sort of nail-gun contraption, while my belly button was done with a needle.
I've seen it done, but I just don't know if I could go through with it lol Does it feel weird when you sit down? Doesn't your pants rub against it when you do?
I do to. Some of my dress pants for work are a little higher cut is why I was asking.
Like I said, just be careful with it and you'll be fine.
Yeah, I took mine out about a month after I started working. My body was rejecting it, anyway, but my work pants definitely rubbed on it more than my jeans did, so that was a factor.
Am I the only one who kind of enjoyed the feeling of getting it pierced? I remember the guy doing it, and I went kind of like "ooooooohhhh" when he did it...like...it seriously felt kind of good?
And then he goes "This one's kinky. She's gonna be back for more later" to all the other guys that worked there. Hahahaha
But that was my last piercing, and I don't have any tattoos, sooo I guess he was wrong. I did enjoy it though.
I got mine pierced when I was 16 years old and now i'm 25. My mother actually took me on a dare because she never thought that I would actually go through with it and when I did she almost died!
Jehawley: I liked the feeling too!! It's kinda weird. I have 3 tattoos and it's so addicting!! I have a pink belly button ring in right now.
I bet jehawley is secretly into suspension! jk I don't even know how anyone could do that... yuck!
I'm afraid of needles, but I actually laughed when they did it. It didn't hurt at all. For the first couple days I had to sleep with my hand over my belly button because I sleep on my stomach, but other than that it was just being careful that nothing pulled on it. When I was 18 pants were still higher cut, so my pants bothered it for a while. I feel old for typing that sentence. Mine got infected quite a bit for the first couple years. I'm pretty sure my body was trying to reject it, but I wasn't willing to take it out and eventually it got used to it.
