Question about mold removal....
I live in a rental and have severe mold and peeling paint in my bathroom. I called the landlord to arrange for the removal, scraping and painting which they are doing next week. The guy said that they would scrape the peeling paint, treat the mold then paint everything all in the same day but I was under the impression that getting rid of mold is difficult and takes a couple of days (treat, wait for mold to clear then drying time, etc). But he said no, it can be done in one day.
So my question to all you know-how nesties is - how do you treat mold and how long does it take to treat?
Re: Question about mold removal....
Some types of mold and areas infested take awhile to treat bc the main thing is to get the area clean and DRY!!!! Mold wants to grow where it is damp and warm, including on paint!
Remind your LL that it is within your rights as a tenant to have a SAFE place to live. LL have been screwed in the past for allowing and manipulating documents about the safety of properties pertaining towards mold.
Don't be hesitant when it is about your health, especially when you have rights!!
(I'd ask for a mold test to insure that the problem has been taken care of!)
