Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Update on my baby
So after spending 2 hours at the vet (and only $30 - thank you Banfield wellness plan), they determined that she has a parasite - Coccida. They did blood work because one of our hrchick and another May lady suggested on FB that it could be kidney disease, so I had them do bloodwork as well as a fecal exam.
It came back as this parasite and so now she's on 2 antibiotics. Shame on me, I googled it, and it matched the exact symptoms she was having. Then I got freaked out because they said it could be fatal!!
I kept texting Adam (he was in class) wanting to know when he got out, and then if he had gotten home yet to give her the antibiotics. He said she ate this new bland diet food (prescription food the vet told us to get) with the antibiotics mixed into it, gobbled it all up and looked for more.
Plus, she didn't poop when Adam took her out before bed, so I'm curious to know if it's working already.
Thanks everyone for their concerns!! I will tell her all her Nest "aunts" wish her well.
