Last day of work!!!

I'm so excited, but actually kinda sad at the same time! I'm not sure why - I think just because I like the actual work I do and it's so routine, I'm not a fan of change and I'm geniunely worried about how things will go with me gone!

Anyway, my boss is taking me to Nordstrom Cafe for lunch so it should be a low key day.

Not sure yet if I'll go back Jan 19 or Feb 1. I'm a bit worried about money and depending on when Lucie arrives (if she comes early) I'll probably need to go back earlier but I've saved up quite a bit so hopefully we'll be okay and I can stay off longer!

Re: Last day of work!!!

  • Enjoy your last day. I know it is scary and I do not like change. It is hard when you are gone how things will run, but you have prepared so well that everything will go good. Rest and enjoy your time with baby and don't worry about work (easier said then done I know).

Hopefully you can stay off as long as you can.

  • YAY!!!! Come on Lucie, the world wants to me you!!
  • Yay for your last day!  I know it's easier said than done, but when you walk out of there this afternoon...do your best not to think about work at all!!!  It's not your responsibility for the next few months!  You're right, some stuff won't be done correctly.  But that will be your boss's problem.  And truthfully, I bet you being gone will help to make her realize A) just how valuable you are to her, and B) how much work you're actually doing (and not getting paid for!).

  • Yay!  Dont let your boss know of your decision on when you will come back yet.  Wait til the new year or longer before you let her know of your return.  Enjoy lunch :)
