Fitness Friday!

Hello my beauties!  I'm happy to see some participation last week 8)  I hope everyone had a wonderful week and that they met their mini goals.  Even if you didn't, next week WILL BE the week!  So...how did everyone do?  And, what is your favorite veggie and how do you prepare it?

 

I didn't exercise ALL WEEK!  I feel like bum, but I wasn't feeling well.  DH gave me his cold and although it didn't turn out to be full blown I just felt like crap all week.  My eating sorta sucked too, but the scale did show a 2lb loss this week so I'll take it!  I'm now down 6lbs total and a whole lotta inches.

As for favorite veggie.  There's not many I don't like, actually. BUT I could probably live off of summer squash and zucchini.  I slice them and steam them then sprinkle some garlic salt on top...mmmmmmmm!

  • I didn't exercise all week either. I was also sick but really that should only been an excuse for two days. I did eat very well and although I forgot to step on the scale, I see a difference in my waste and feel cautiously optimistic I lost a little. I'm a big fan of most veggies and usually prefer them over meat. Grilled asparagus with a little butter and garlic is probably my all time fav. Good luck ladies, have a great next week!
  • Haha!  Must be in the air.  I didn't exercise all week either.  

    My favorite veggie is broccoli, first steamed, then lightly sauted in a touch of olive oil seasoned with garlic salt and red pepper flakes. 

  • I was a slacker this week. I always work out before work but Monday I had an interview and Wednesday I was so tired. Still doing the P90x thing but know I need to be following the diet plan (which I have yet to do).

    My favorite veggie is probably eggplant. I can't cook so I just cook it in the pan with some olive oil and mix it with some other yummy stuff ;)

  • I've done okay this week, no loss, but no gain.  I'm in the middle of week 5 on the C25k program and it's crazy how no matter how hard each step seems, I'm still progressing.  Like, it'll feel really hard doing 5 min. of running, but just a week before that I felt the same about 3 min.  So I guess it really is getting easier.  :)

    I actually really like most veggies a lot.  I love them steamed, grilled, and some fresh.  I guess my favorite that I make a lot is fresh green beans steamed with butter and lemon with slivered almonds sprinkled on top.  Yummo!

  • I didn't work out this week either. I blame pms. Nothing lost but nothing gained, which is actually an accomplishment. Normally I gain a couple pounds this time of the month
  • how did everyone do? I didn't exercise either, but I'm eating better and little by little I'm loosing some weight. I've lost 15 of the 20 pounds I gained after the wedding...almost 5 to go! And my goal for now is to loose another 5 below wedding weight.

    What is your favorite veggie and how do you prepare it? I used to hate all vegetables, but since I started trying to eat healthier I've discovered that I actually really like some vegetables. My current favorite is green beans. We saut? them in a pan with a bit of olive oil, garlic, sea salt, freshly ground pepper and some basil, parsley or oregano...they are delicious.

  • Well last weekend was our Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, and boy was it good! Turkey, stuffing, yams, pumpkin cheesecake, etc! I got to the gym 3 days and surprisingly enough I weigh the exact as I did last Friday. I'm happy with that since I definitely thought I would have gained. It's hard for me to pick a favourite veggie since I love so many. I love to make a vegtable medley, coat with olive oil and spices and cover in foil and barbeque.
