I normally use Comet but even it's not cutting the hard water stains. What do you use?
Also, how do you clean your toilet seat? Scrubber? My toilet seats are the hardest thing to clean. I think it's what they're made of... Sometimes I make a paste of Zud to clean them, then it just removes the finish off of them.. Is there a better way?

Re: Fav Bathroom Cleaner?
I use 50% vinegar in a spray bottle, and baking soda as a scrub for soap scum in the sink and shower.
I spray the toilet seat with vinegar, then wipe with a microfiber cloth. If you're having trouble getting the seat clean, I would just replace it with something that will wipe clean more easily. I can't imagine what would cause a toilet seat to need so much scrubbing!
I know this isn't a 'green living' forum but I love, love, love my cleaners and they happen to be super enviro friendly and if you are ever worried about envrio impact or your health it might be something to check out!
I use Bon Ami, which is almost like Comet but super earth friendly and doesn't scratch most surfaces. I also love Mrs. Meyer's anything (mostly the window cleaner which smells like lavender and is so much better than windex!) I also use for all my bathroom cleaning, Method which is carried in Target. I like the pine tree-minty smell and they have scrubs, toilet, and counter cleaners as well as window, laundry and floors. I have yet to have a problem with any of them!
I also use the blue sponges for cleaning or micro fiber towels, whenever I use the green yellow sponges they ruin paint and plastics!
Good luck!!
My parents use Proxide on their hard water stains in the tub. The just put it in a spray bottle and let it sit for a little bit and scrub it off. It really does work.
I just started using the Kaboom foam that turns from blue to white and I was happy with how well it worked.
I definitely would prefer green products.
I know, me either. It shouldn't be this impossible. It's hard water, like the rings around the toilet. It's on the underside of the seat..They are cheap seats, I think they've needed replacing since day one.
You have to try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser!! It is the only thing that can take away the dark stains on my bathtub floor! It is seriously magic.. I tried so many other cleaners and nothing could get it off! I used the magic eraser with some water and it came out SO clean and sparkly right away!
I now use the magic eraser on EVERYTHING! I would reccommend it for any cleaning job out there!
