Car accident
So I was just in a minor car accident on my lunch hour. I'm ok and the other woman is ok. The police came but they didn't even file a report because it was so minor, just scuffed up both bumpers.
I feel horrible because it was completely my fault =[. I wasn't in the turning lane I needed to be in and when the girl beside me wasn't moving I decided to make a wide turn and go for it. VERY stupid on my part. She wasn't really upset (the car was a rental). HH is going to see if we can just settle with the rental company so we won't have to file an insurance claim. This was my first car wreck so I'm shaking like a leaf. I'll be alright in a little while.

HH just called and said he got ahold of the other woman and if the rental company is ok with it, we're going to pay for the repairs so we don't have to involve the insurance companies. Hopefully it isn't too much to have the paint on a bumper buffed up. Looks like we're going to have to dip into savings possibly. I can't believe I was so stupid...
Atleast your ok thats all that matters. Take some deep breaths.

Thanks girls! I've calmed down alot and I'm feeling alot better now. I still feel horrible because it was such a stupid mistake, but I'm human. These things happen sometimes!

You aren't the first person to make a dumb mistake. I guarentee anyone on this planet can say they've done the same. Wanna hear a little story to help you feel better? Growing up in my parents house, they had a huge glass sliding door to their back patio. One winter I took it upon myself (I must have been like 15) to shovel the back porch. Why? No reason to do it since nobody ever used it in the winter...maybe I was bored...well, I slipped with the shovel and bashed into the glass door, cracking the thing all over (thank God it didn't actually shatter) causing my parents to have to replace the entire thing in the middle of winter. Yeah, I felt smart after that one.
The important thing is that nobody was hurt. A scraped up bumper can easily be repaired.
