Oh dear

My friend who is doing my job while I'm gone (but just for 12 hours a week) is about ready to walk out of here. She just told me she doesn't know how I put up with it. I told her if she can't stand it then not a problem but she said she can't do that to me. It's not my problem if she does, my boss would have to deal. Poor thing. I told her to call me ANYTIME and vent or ask me a question, honestly, I'd rather she called me than be miserable.

Re: Oh dear

  • Uh oh.  Keep it in your head this isnt your problem, and its not on you.  If she does end up leaving, it will be your boss' problem to find someone else and train them.  Remember, legally they are not allowed to contact you while on maternity leave.  Dont let your boss know about your friends feelings about the job, let her find out on her own.
  • Oh gosh.  I agree with Kel...I totally understand you wanting to be there for your friend, but really, it's not your problem.  If your friend chooses to walk, it's totally up to your boss to figure out what the heck to do!  Don't give in and offer to do some work from home!  Stick out tongue  Let your friend vent if you want, but don't do anything else!
