Confessions, Vents, & AW's
I don't think we've done one of these in a while (but I'm so tired I can barely remember the soup I just ate) so let's hear 'em.
Confession - I'm glad DH realized that we should do our shopping together tomorrow rather than him trying to go alone today. He tends to purchase more off of the want list than the need list.
Vent - We have a fairly new employee who I was told this morning was hired at the same level I currently am at now. She is immature, inexperienced, and does not even complete basic tasks well. I will be speaking to the sr. manager about that one next week.
AW - Amelia is now eating cereal and is up to 2tsp a night. We started her on smaller amounts because so many people were telling us it was too early. She was just so hungry though so I did it anyways and she is doing great. Once I get home I will try to post some pics. Tinypic is blocked at work (WTF?) and I don't want to put them on fb right now.
Re: Confessions, Vents, & AW's
Confession - I would rather work on my creative writing and MFA applications than work on finishing my Master's Thesis. I'm so excited about this next possible step in my life that I've just stopped caring about what I currently have in front of me to finish for this degree.
Vent - I had really horrible nightmares last night. In an attempt to allow DH to get more sleep, I went out to our couch since I knew I was going to end up reading or watching TV. Problem is, we only have a loveseat. I couldn't get comfortable and basically just waited until he was getting up to get ready for work before I went back to bed.
AW - Last night I got to read a piece of fiction I wrote at our Student Reading Series. It seemed fairly well recieved. It was a bit awkward seeing as I was one of two pieces of fiction amdist about 20 poets, but whatever. I love it
Confession: I ate pizza for lunch two days in a row
Vent: My DH is going out of town for the week and I know I'm going to sleep like crap all week
AW: Hmmm. My ass looks really great in these jeans
Confession: I just fell asleep sitting at my desk - that's how bored and tired I am right now.
Vent: My company just changed our health care provider again. This is the 3rd change in 4 years. Except that this year I've already paid 50% of the fee to have this baby to the doctor and now I have to go have it recalculated and if by some miracle its going to be reduced, I dont actually get any money back until after she's born even though I'll have paid it all before the end of the year.
AW: We've been working on saving money and paying off our mortgage, DH's truck, etc with extra payments and we calculated our net worth last night and for the first time ever I actually feel really good about the number. Now that DH got his new job, I think we'll be able to continue putting away savings and making extra payments even when the baby comes.

Confession-I had dark chocolate Resee's peanut butter cups for part of my breakfast this morning. I also had a banana & grapes.
Vent-I had 2 people at the park today say Ayden is such a pretty girl! This happens quite a lot and annoys the he!! out of me. We were Team Green so when he was first born and in gender neutral clothes, fine but when he is in all blue, come on people! Although my friend did tell me someone called her daughter a him when she was wearing a gold dress and red shoes.
AW-Ayden is going to be a pea pod for Halloween. It was a costume a friend gave me, so I'm saving some cash which is nice. I'll make sure to post pics.
This happens quite a bit with Alex too. Two people said it when he was in his cow costume last week.
Confession-I took a part-time job (only bc it pays $55/hour) and am going to the training next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday even though I had to take three days off my full-time job to go.
Vent-DH and I hired a babysitter for Saturday, which will be our first "date night" out in a LONG time, and is also DH's birthday. When asked what he wants to do, he said he wants to hang out with his friends. So much for date night with just me and DH. The romance is dead, people (or at least in a coma).
AW-Alex will be 5 months old on Monday! And he now weighs a whopping 17lbs 15 oz.
Confession: I was supposed to have started my meal planning this month. Didn't happen.
Vent: I'm sick of people not responding to emails and invitations. I overextend myself in helping out people and being a good communicator and don't get timely feedback. I'm also supposed to host four of our friends at our house Sunday because they haven't seen the house yet, and they won't confirm. So I don't know if I need to prep for a party or not.
AW: I pulled off another successful wedding this past weekend.
