AW of Nate
Nine months is a big milestone! I wanted to recreate the birth announcement photo, especially when I realized it was taken at 9 days old. But, I think the contrast in what actually happened is better:
After 9 months, I still get this kind of giddy lump in my throat when I look at pictures of him. And when I see him first thing in the morning. One morning this week, he was in the living room with DH when I got up. When Nate saw me, he crawled over. I picked him up. He patted my shoulder and whispered, "Mama." I nearly died. He's been asking me for food by saying, "Mummmmmmmm," which is precious, but that whispered Mama, I feel, is the first time he really called me by name, as it were. He calls DH "DAAAA!"
