A professor brought up the Rutgers situation in class for discussion and debate.
(Roommate set up a video camera in the room to catch his roommate involved in sexual activity with another man. The Roommate then put this video on YouTube. The young man was so distraught he killed himself.)
The question the professor posed was should the Roommate be prosecuted?
The class literally erupted in opinions. One "special" character says "The fact that he killed himself shouldn't be taken into consideration in the prosecution of the roommate." [Ok, reasonable statement... now let me hear the reason behind that...] "I mean he was gay. He had underlying issues. He was going to kill himself anyway."

Please tell me that did not actually come out of someone's mouth in the year 2010. Much less someone who is less than a year away from defending our country's constitution in the court of law.
