TTC since 1/2010 - Dx with Stage IV Endo
11/10 - 100mg Clomid + trigger + IUI + Estradiol + Progesterone = BFN
12/10 - Unmedicated cycle due to RE not doing treatments in December = BFN
1/11 - 100mg Clomid + trigger + IUI + Estradiol + Progesterone = BFN
2/11 - Same sh!t, different month = IUI cancelled due to no response = BFN
IVF #1 - Start stims (Follistim) 5/10, add in Ganirelix 5/14
ER 5/21 - 13 retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilized; ET 5/26 - transferred one perfect 1AA blast. 3 snowbabies.
Beta 6/3 - 15.8; Beta 6/7 - 21.8; Beta 6/10 - 7
FET - Transferred 1 AA blast 7/11. Beta 7/20 - 311! Beta 7/22 - 784!! First u/s 8/10

Drew and I thought we would be "smart" and only pack one suitcase to check. Fees are $25 for one bag and $35 for the second bag. So, he packed most of his stuff in a carry on. Well, we get to the airport and he puts my suitcase up there to get checked and it's 55 lbs. It's 5 lbs overweight so we get charged an ADDITIONAL $90 to check the bag!!!! $115 total to check my freakin' suitcase!!!!!!
I HATE DELTA!!!!!!!! I will never, ever fly with them again. I don't care if my mom died and it's the only flight I can get. Never again!!!!!!
Oh, and in case you're wondering, I did tell Drew that we should just pack two bags because I was stressing about it. Needless to say, we just bought another suitcase so it doesn't happen again.

We registered (we're dorks) for a luggage scale for our wedding, and I swear we use it every time we fly... it's well worth it!
Heck, at this point, stop by the post office and throw your dirty clothes in a "if it fits, it ships" box. It's cheaper than more luggage, for sure.
Sorry you ran into such a bummer to start your trip out! Have fun, despite the logistics...
Similar thing happened to a couple that was in line with us coming back from the HM. They paid more than double what DH and I paid for 2 bags b/c they had everything in an oversized and overweight bag.
I agree with Kathy, I know so many people that have scales at home or have the luggage with the scales inside just in case.
