Wide Calf Ladies..

Has anyone ordered from the UK company DUO?

I am tempted.. spendy boots, but with wide calf sizes... is it worth shipping from the UK?

Re: Wide Calf Ladies..

  • Before you do that, check out DSW's wide calf boots.

After months of searching (I have very wide calves) I ordered these boots, and they fit so perfectly.  I get compliments all the time and they're so comfy!  I ordered them in gray which I love- but I'd love them in black and tan too. Madden Girl Punkk Slouch Boots  I originally found them on DSW but then I couldn't find them- so I got them from endless.com.  It helps to research price once you find the boot you want!

I have those boots on my amazon wishlist. I'm saving my swagbucks to hopefully get them for free!

  • Last year (I haven't tried this year) I tried on every single pair of mid-calf, "wide" boots with a low or flat heel that DSW had and none of them worked.  I wear a size 6 or 6.5 - so I guess shoe makers don't feel I should have a wide calf.  :(

I know what you mean. I'm a 6.5 too and I had a helluva time finding boots last year. I found one style at Macy's last year that I could squeeze my calves into. I'm starting to think I'm just going to buy ankle boots.

  • aniter... go to DSW.  look for White Mountain boots... they look practically identical to the Madden Girl boots and they fit my calves (and are specifically called wide calf boots).  i got a brown and black pair :)
  • I was going to look into DSW too, I also have wide calves and it's SO hard to find a boot I love that fits!
  • I looked at and tried on every possible pair of "wide calf" at DSW (they have stickers on the boxes) with no luck.  I'm also kinda picky about style, so there is that.

My fave shoe websites have wide calf sort options, and many list the circumference of the boot, so try that out -- I haven't ordered yet (budget hooray) but will soon.  They have free shipping usually, too:

    Shoes.com
    Endless.com
    Zappos.com
    6pm.com

I've ordered from both Endless and 6pm...with really great experiences.  6pm specifically: I ordered on a Tuesday morning, the shoes were shipped about 5 hours later.  I got them Friday.  That was the regular shipping (which I believe was free).  That is customer service!

  • I have huge, muscular calves  and have recently had luck with both Clarks and Aerosoles.
