Anyone go to Dr. Nemeh (OB/GYN)?
I'm pregnant again (woo hoo!) and my OB no longer delivers at Kennedy so I need to switch docs.
My mom works at Kennedy and all of the OB nurses said that Nemeh is hands down the best, but I don't know anyone who sees him.
I've also never seen a man OB and I'm a little weirded out about that.
Any experience here? Thanks!
Re: Anyone go to Dr. Nemeh (OB/GYN)?
I go to University Dr's and they deliver at Kennedy. I LOVE Dr Tartaglia, Dr Leber and Dr Bramble. They are all female Dr's and there are a bunch of midwives also who are great.
I've always see a female Dr and saw the one male Dr and my practice and wasn't comfortable with him.
I have no experience with that particular practice, but as far as a woman vs. man OB/GYN, I prefer a man.
I went to a woman when I first started going back when I was 16, and I saw the same woman up until I was 20, when I switched to the guy my mom always saw (same group). I don't know if it was this particular Dr., but the woman was always very brash, and had not so great bedside manner, in my opinion.
I still see the same male Dr. I switched to when I was 20 (almost 26 now) and I hope to have him as my OB when we start a family. He has incredible bedside manner and seems to care about my well being WAY MORE than my woman Dr. ever did.
Also, when I was younger, I would always get really worked up for an exam, and she was really impatient with me. My mom said that sometimes woman are less patient because they know what it's like, and have the "suck it up" attitude, whereas a man is more sensitive because they can't compare.

Please tell me this is the last time you went to see her...I would have throat punched her.

Sorry I can't vouch for that doc, but my practice also delivers at Kennedy.

The OB is Dr. Leisa O'Flynn, but I regularly see the midwife, Patty Madden, and she delivered DD.
When you go for regular appts, you can wait a loooong time, but that was all well worth it during my delivery. Patty was amazing and a huge help for both me an H (who grudgingly admitted he wouldn't have traded her for the world). I know it wasn't solely due to her, but I had no tears whatsoever with DD and I do attribute a lot of the reason to her techniques.
hahaha, Pumpkinseed.... I didn't throat punch her, but it is the last time I saw her... : )
I just laughed at her.
