Checking in with the running ladies

I know a few of you ran either 1/2 a marathon or marathon this weekend. How did everyone do?

Re: Checking in with the running ladies

  • Finished my first full marathon, pretty strong according to the pictures, though that's not quite how I felt. ;) I'll have an update on H&F and/or my blog tomorrow, once I get a chance to write it all out.
  • I actually only did the relay marathon - my leg was about 7.5 miles.  Andy ran the marathon.  It actually worked out really well - I was running the second leg, and we figured I'd take off before Andy ran by that relay point.  But Leg 1 girl was late to start, so she ended up tagging me after Andy had passed.  I sprinted for a few minutes until I caught up with him and then ran with him at an easy pace for about 7 miles.

He wanted to finish in under 4 hours . . . his official chip time was 4 hours and 4 seconds, so he's a little bummed about that.  Overall it was a fun race - PERFECT weather, good course, great volunteers.

Listen to you - I ONLY ran 7 miles. I can safely say that line will never enter in my conversation. Stick out tongue  That is very cool that you did that and that you were able to run with Andy.

Great job for Andy,  with a 4 second difference than what he wanted, I'm sure someone at somepoint during the race got in his way and slowed him down for a bit.

I think we had one more runner that did a 1/2, but I'm thinking it may have been out-of-state, so we will see if she logs on. I don't want to call her out though.

  • I ran the GR half.  It was a gorgeous day, and I had a great time!  I hurt a lot today, though.  Stick out tongue

Congrats to all of the other runners!

  • Way belated on this post...just got back from San Francisco last night. Smile I did the half out there with my sis, who conveniently sprained her ankle last week, so we only ran about 6 or 7 of the miles and walked the rest. The hills were CRAZY, there was one that went up hill for 1.5 miles. Lots of fun picture ops though, we had a great time.

Congrats to the other runners! Sounds like everyone had a great day on Sunday.

  • All of you are so amazing! Great work, ladies!
