good morning, friends. hope you all had a nice weekend! anything exciting to report back on? any fun plans for the week? any other good recipes to share (thanks, laurat, now i am already hungry and thinking about food...my eggwhites did not cut it!)?
i had a relatively uneventful weekend. saw "the town" (so so so good!), cleaned the house, did some errands, made a delicious crock-pot pulled pork, and pumpkin spice cookies. tried to go apple picking at 3 different places and they were all out of apples...went to bed at 8:45 last night and woke up with three mutant sized pimples (hello again puberty).
hopefully meeting with my trainer this week! MUST LOSE 15 POUNDS!
Re: monday already?
Morning Friend!!!
Saturday.....3 fence guys came to give us estimates, went and returned a bunch of wedding shower gifts & got a bunch of new stuff for the house. Came home did more unpacking and laundry.
Sunday....ran errands, grocery shopping, went to home depot alone and came out dumber then when I went in, did more laundry and unpacking. Made a pot roast with potatoes & carrots. Dessert was halloween cupcakes that I made for DH and Dad. Watched a bunch of football, well not really I was cleaning.
Thought AF was coming but booooy was that a trick to wrist! A BIG FAT NOO AFFF!!! I guess Im going home to POAS! The little devil in my head keeps saying you know its true just face the facts! I keep telling myself ahh it will come, it will come it will come!!
Today is our 1 month anniversary!! DH has class tonite so I will be spending it with my furry children!
Good Morning!!
I can't believe it's Monday already but I'm also happy because Tom is back from his weekend getaway with his college buddies. I missed him so much. Last night I just kept looking at him and smiling. I know, I'm a dork.
Laura - I just read that recipe and it sounds so good - so does that pulled pork Shauni!! Yum! Now I'm getting hungry!
We need to go halloween costume shopping tonight. Since Tom hates getting dressed up we are either going to be Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain or I don't know...That's all I could come up with that he agreed on but I feel it's sort of lame.
I need to go running tonight. I ate and drank all weekend and didn't workout at all. No motivation. Ugh.
Ok, have a good day everyone!
Nothing exciting to report on here unless you count that I can't make applesauce in a crock pot as exciting. I think I used too much water so I stuck it in the blender for a second and then ended up with apple puree instead of sauce. Oops.
We thought about picking the apples but the place was insanely crowded. And then I found out they were charging almost 3 times the amount for apples per pound as the grocery store. Ouch!
So, do you think you could motivate me to lose 15 lbs? Or even like 5? I seriously lack in the motivation department.

Good morning, all. Hope everyone had a great, resting weekend.
Or just a lot of fun.
Mine was OK, was supposed to go help my mom on Saturday with some house work but ended up getting a uti. (Too much info? Sorry). They're really horrible and totally wipe me out. So I mostly just laid on the couch, watched movies/football and cooked the whole weekend. I made: chicken curry, steak & roasted red potatoes and last night, chicken adobo! All were really big hits with the hubby!
No big plans this week, just working hard. We found out yesterday that my FIL is coming in town tonight, I'm so excited. He's def. my fav. member of the "new family" and he's just so great. We might go out to dinner. Other than that, doing some shopping for David's bday (it's on Saturday) and figuring out what I want to do for him, other than make ribs.
Also really need to get my a$$ in gear with working out. Just haven't had the energy since the wedding. I'm thinking I'm going to run (mixed in with Jillian every few days) until it's too cold and then just stick to jilly 4-5 a week through the winter.

The weekend went by way too fast. But I love my job, so the only thing I'm complaining about is actually having to get out of bed.
My weekend was full of hockey and free food so that made it exciting.
On the Halloween front, I will be dressing either as a witch (clicky) or as a Slytherin student. I already have the witch costume from last year and I'm a HUGE HP dork and am dressing up for the premier in November, so I have a tie, scarf, black skirt, button down, etc. H HATES Halloween so he is dressing up as nothing, even though we're going to a Halloween (Ballroom) Dance Party.
I didn't do anything exciting. Unless you count waiting in line (OUTSIDE) for 40 minutes at the DMV before being told the state-wide system went down so they can't process payments (which means they can't do ANYthing). I waited another hour to see if it would come back up, but it didn't.
So I made cupcakes for DH's poker game - they were a huge hit! (Pics on FB). I also posted HM pictures on FB and caught up on Grey's Anatomy.
Morning all. Might still be drunk from the foozeball game yesterday, can't tell, but definitely tired!
Friday night was kick ass! We went to dinner, then bowling, then dancing. I haven't been that intoxicated in a long time. There were lots of shots and I was hating life on Saturday.
Kept a low profile on Saturday, went to MILs house and hung out. Nothing too exciting.
Yesterday was Bronco game. Tough loss, but had a blast w/ DH and brother. They call each other "Bill" (BIL), it's too cute.
My goal to start getting back in shape starts in Nov. Oct is too tough w/ my bday and halloween, so Nov 1st, I'm on it! I currently have ONE, yes ONE, pair of jeans that fit and I wore them 5 days last week. Today I'm wearing a dress, cuz I have yet to wash my jeans. How sad and lame is that?
However, my queen of hearts costume fits beautifully. Thank tiny baby jesus for plus-size costumes
ETA: I hate mondays
Saturday went to breakfast with my BFF, then to a pumpkin festival with her and some inlaws and my niece, the drove all the way across town to an apple farm to get apples for apple crisp, then came home and watched Juno with DH.
Sunday went to a baby shower then to the inlaws for dinner and made apple crisp. It was DH Grandmas recipe and she was watching over me the whole time, but she said it was good lol.
First of all, WTH is POAS?
Second of all, Friday night went to a hustle dance class. Challenging yet fun!
Saturday: went to the SYTYCD show. Yes, I won tix for it. I'm not into the TV show at all, but these dancers were enjoyable to watch and extremely talented!
Sunday: was a complete lazy ass except for doing laundry and cleaning toilets and bathroom sinks (all three sets of them, yay).
GO EAGLES AND GO PHILLIES, WOOT!
POAS=Pee on a stick
I was confused too, cuz I say POA at work about a bajillion times/day (POA at work=power of attorney)

Good morning ladies!
Monday. Why. WHYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
I'm reining in my weekday eating today. It totally got away from me the last two weeks. Not good. AND last week I only went to the gym once. Gotta get back on track. Zumba today at 12!
I didn't get a lot done that I wanted to this weekend, but I did see my little brother kick at my alma mater's homecoming football game, spent time with three of my besties, visited all of my grandparents, made red sauce to freeze, and did some minor cleaning. And of course watched the Phils tie it up last night. HOLLErrrrrrrrrrr
I need to hit the library tonight, put laundry away, change sheets and finish thank you cards.
Now that I'm married I've completely lost all motivation to lose weight. Sad, right? I'm not talking about letting myself go, because I am eating well & want to continue to exercise, but I don't have a goal in mind. I just want to look & feel good.. and if that means feeling good as a fat ass eating Reese Pieces watching the Phils & catching up on Glee, than that's my idea of a goal right now.
I'm so glad you loved The Town too, Shauni. J & I saw that while on the honeymoon and couldn't stop talking about it. Ben Affleck was amazing.
This weekend wasn't too eventful. The apt is in order now more than ever. We cleaned & did some food shopping. I'm feeling pretty good & like I can actually relax in our new home.
We watched the games yesterday, made some food & that was basically it. It was nice to be home since the next two weeks will be OOT most of the time.
Oh, and I also changed my name at the DMV. My new license makes me sad.
I also wanted to start TY notes but didn't. Ultimate fail. My plan is to do a few every night & get them out by the end of October at the absolute latest.

Damnnnnnnnn Lia. MFD actually resembles Bill Clinton, so I think he'll be ok. And I think I'm bobbing my hair on Saturday so I'll be able to pull off Monica more easily.
Here's something I've learned about entertaing a lot in my house: what you collect. I have tupperware, jeans, belts, shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, platters, Backugan figures, Nintendo DS games, stuffed animals, coolers...none of it belongs to me.
Happy Monday! (and for the record, the only happy thing about it so far is that it is the last one before my HM - we leave on Sunday - count down is on!)
Saturday I spent the day cooking and cleaning, DH at work. In the evening we had friends over to watch the UFC fight night, so I got to try out a recipe for cranberry cocktail meatballs I've been eyeing for a while - they turned out really well, DH wants me to make the sauce to go on other meat some time. And that was the first time using the slow cooker. Made hummus, salsas, multi-layer dip, hors d'oeuvres, and bubble ring dessert too, which all came out really well.
Yesterday we returned some registry stuff and bought other stuff we needed/wanted more - I love shopping when it doesn't cost me anything!! Then we saw RED - I adore Bruce Willis.
Good Morning ladies! I hope I'm not too late to comment on this, I've actually had to work this morning but way for a half day tomorrow and off Friday! The weekend was good...we went to visit with J's family and friends.
Friday night, his brother, his FI and J all went out to some engagement party and b-day party but I was tired from the ride and did not want to attempt to look cute so I stayed in with my book and who shows up?? My MIL who isn't a fan of me. Can we say awkward for the next 2 hours til they show up?
Saturday night was a friend's b-day party and the party favors was the 30 top songs from 10/9 from 1980-2010 and one was the "Macarena"...haven't done that in YEARS!!
And yesterday was the long ass ride/drive back home. I hate that ride and will be so glad when (if) his family decides to make that trip some.
Heh, you could give that soup to my DH, he loves potato soup so thick you could eat it with a fork! When I make soup his way it is always filling enough to be the main course.
Hello ladies! I know I'm late, but hey I live on the West Coast! I had a nice weekend. Went to the pumpkin festival on had my pumpkin ice cream.
I am so sad because my Raiders lost yesterday! It was the battle of the bay between San Francisco and Oakland and San Fran won...ugh!
Our 1 month anniversary is tomorrow and we're having margarita's and doing karaoke at Chevy's.
Hi - work has been super busy this morning and now I can finally breathe.
Weekend was uneventful, but we finally got a little bit of rain yesterday - which it felt like fall weather. I also made this really good beef stew in the crockpot on Saturday. I can't remember where I found the recipe but it was easy and so yummy. And our place smelled awesome when I walked in from doing the laundry. Just took some time to prep it before putting in the crockpot (searing the beef, cooking the onions before going into the crockpot).
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
I literally just sat down for the first time all day about five minutes ago. Hello, insane Monday! The weekend was mostly uneventful (except for the paella). I am dying to try the pumpkin cookie recipe that Shauni posted, but we made oatmeal chocolate chunk cookies last night and I have to make black bottom cupcakes tomorrow, so I should lay off the baking as much as possible.
The Halloween party we were going to attend just got canceled, so I officially have no Halloween plans. And one less batch of cupcakes to make.
