what did you think of the air show? i loved it and had a blast!! got really lucky and was able to park on base!
Re: BAMFMrsB
you know, we did not even consider the base for parking? We should have tho! We parked @ WW by 8:45AM, got through the security line and on the bus and was on base by 10AM. We sat near the Delta jet so it was easy to turn around at 4PM and get back in the WW bus line
This is my 3rd or 4th airshow and I am very impressed with the improvements of the shuttles and the parking. It was so much better. But damn the food & drinks was expensive! $3 per bottle of water! I know in years past you could fill up water at a fountain station but not this year. Probably expelains why so many people were passing out this year.
I'll be bringing a shade umbrella next year for sure!
While the Blue Angels are awesome, I was really impressed with the Canadian Snowbirds. This is the 1st time I've seen them!
Call me Kat =^..^=
*butting in* If you really enjoy air shows, I recommend heading south for the next one at Robins AFB. It's a much, much larger base (3x the size). I haven't been to the one at Dobbins, but I can imagine that Robins would have a lot more, simply because they maintain so many more planes, including the C-5 (which Dobbins can't even land) and the F-15. There's also the air museum there, where you can find an SR-71 on display.
I gotta' say... all the sounds of the air show while we were at a friend's place made me homesick.
