wwyd?

so the place i left behind is asking what staffing agency i went through. i really am hesitant to give that because i think they're looking for help & i really don't want to knowingly put someone in that situation. so what would you do?

Re: wwyd?

  • I'm assuming that your old place is going to seek out / hire someone anyhow, so you simply providing the name of the agency you used isn't going to do anything except give the agency business, IMO.

Or did I misinterpret what you're asking?

  • I don't think it matters if you give them the name of the staffing agency or not. If they want to hire someone they will, you can't really hold yourself responsible for someone getting in a crappy situation just because you gave the name of a staffing agency. And I don't know why they are asking you since they are perfectly capable of finding a staffing agency on their own.
  • My question is that if the job you left hired you through a staffing agency, why don't they have the name of the agency they hired you through? And I am with everyone else, just give them the info, they will hire someone with or without the info, you shouldn't worry about someone else getting a crappy job.

  • Eh, I would give it to them. I don't see the big deal. And besides while the job may be absolutely shitty and horrible, there is someone out there (which they will find with or without the agency) who wants a job regardless if its crappy.
