how often do you clean toilets & floors?
My husband informed me today that I get overworked about cleaning and that it wasn't necessary for me to mop my floors and scrub my toilets every week....
*face smack*
I prefer to do these things AT LEAST once if not twice a week.... what about you?
Re: how often do you clean toilets & floors?
I vacuum at least once (preferably twice a week) and mop the floors once a week. I also clean the toilets once a week. I would do it more often if I had the time.
HH gets on me for washing the sheets every week. I think its so gross to not wash them every week! I think guys just dont care about that kind of stuff. I would be stressing out over not cleaning than to just do it at least once a week and be happy.
I don't do floors. Matt does. I think he does them about once every week or two-- basically, whenever it gets to bugging him.
I do the toilets, and I'd say they usually get done maybe once a week. I determine my cleaning schedule by visual inspection rather than a calendar. Basically, they get cleaned whenever I can tell that they need it.
Floors are once a week. Toilets are min of once a week depending on if needed more or not!
OH Boy men are crazy sometimes with the things they say!
I vacuum several times a week (lots of animals) and spot clean the floors as necessary. I mop every couple of weeks. I try to clean the toilet every week because men are just nasty (really is it that hard to aim). Sheets get changed weekly. DH told me that when he was in college he didn't change his sheets for almost a year. GAG!!! If it wasn't for me our house would be condemned.
Thank you for saying this Hayley, because I was really starting to feel like the only slob here. Pretty much what she said.
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
Oh, my. You girls obviously haven't been reading my comments on the other cleaning threads! If jehawley is the resident cleaning goddess, I am the opposite end of the spectrum. Toilets just happen to be the one thing that actually bugs me.
