I swear we're never going to finish picking....

our album photos.

I'm a PW today sorry.

We went through and picked out our must have photos. We got it down a few weeks ago to 156.

We just sat here for half an hour and got it down to 1298....we're suppose to have 105 in our album.

Without starting to delete detail photos (which I spent a lot of time on those details!!!) IDK what to do.

Ugh. :/

  • We just finally got the CD with our full res photos on it.  I have no ambition to do this either.  I know they want us to get it all ordered ASAP...but I probably wont have the money for our album until Spring anyways...I'm just dreading going through this whole process.

  • Do you have duplicate photos of the same people? I helped a friend narrow hers down because she was having a terrible time choosing, so we started allowing only 1 photo per person basically. So if there were two photos of her and her maid of honor that she loved, we picked her favorite of the two. You won't have to do it for everybody, but it's a way to try and get rid of a few photos.
  • Our album was included in our package...so no extra money coming out now.

But as for duplicates, we don't really have any. We decided to include the group shots of our family. We have our solo portraits and our portraits as a couple (quite a few of these but that's what it should be IMO, it's our album you know?) And we made sure we were balanced...like a photo with me and my mom, there's one of him and his mom....

There's a few WP photos too, and photos of each of us with our WP members. Me with each girl, him with each guy, etc.

There's pretty much nothing more we want to get rid of, they're different or we love them, or that's the only one with my bestie, etc.

  • Yeah, I was thinking about that too. I'm 24 photos over...so I'm going to see what the extra cost would be.

  • It was like $30 a page to add more photos to my book.  We ended up adding one or two more pages...just because I couldn't decide...but I made sacrifices even then!  There aren't any pictures with individual wedding party members...just group shots.  I figured, I have the CD and can print them out and create my own album when things settle down more.  I hope you can decide!

  • Kayla,

Ok so I am a little late on this, but I was wondering if you got a CD with the printing release for all your pics included in your wedding package?

Our wedding package included the CD, and we also paid extra for a photo book (at the time I didn't realize how easy they were to make on your own). Because I had such a hard time choosing pics, I ended up choosing the most formal "portrait type" photos for my photog to use in our wedding book.  I then used our CD we received and made a second book through mypublisher that had all the fun and more informal pics in it.  I was also able to put in some of the pics that family and friends took at the wedding that I really loved, and obviously the photog would not have been able to use in her book.

If you got the CD with your wedding package this might be an option for you to look into.  If you didn't, can you buy the CD at a later time?  My only other thought is, are there some photos you want to put in your book that you have also chosen a print of?  There are a few we got printed to display in our house that I wanted our photo book too.  I realized I'm already able to see it on a daily basis, I can save the room and cut it from our book.

Sorry to be so long winded!  Just wanted to give you a few more things to think about! Good luck finalizing your book.  I'm sure it will turn out great!
