Trying to get the board moving (and to distract myself from the pile of work I have to do...this is my "break" time...):

What was your first Halloween costume? My mom dressed me up as a bear. I was only 2 months old.
What will you be going as this year? A super-hero-alter-ego version of myself. Haha. I'm going as "Word Nerd" (who reads SO MUCH she can read your mind) and my DH is going as "Gamer Geek." We're basically dressing like ourselves but with capes and utility belts.
(If you have kids or pets) What are you dressing the rest of your family up as? N/A
What's your favorite candy? It's a tie between Milk Duds and Tootsie Rolls
When was the last time you went trick-or-treating? My mom made me stop going when I entered middle school/junior high, which was when I was 11.
Haunted houses: lame or terrifying? Terrifying. I can't take it. I refuse to even attempt most of them. The last one I remember going all the way through was at a middle school in the gymnasium. I was 12 or 13, and I cried the whole way. I don't even really like the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland...
What's your favorite scary movie? Scream. hahaha. Okay, seriously...probably the original Psycho or The Shining.
What was your first Halloween costume? No clue. First one I remember is witch. I was a witch or punk rocker every year of the 80s I can recall.
What will you be going as this year? I think a Stepford Wife.
(If you have kids or pets) What are you dressing the rest of your family up as? DH is going to be what I have termed Dr. Mel Practice (malpractice). I did think about going as a botched boob job. No costume for Rufus, although we do think he looks a bit like Wolverine ala Hugh Jackman when you fluff up his side hair.
What's your favorite candy? Anything from the Wonka bags (runts, laffy taffy, etc.)
When was the last time you went trick-or-treating? Hmmm, probably around when I was 10. I don't remember trick or treating in Texas, only in NY.
Haunted houses: lame or terrifying? Lame. I don't dig the claustrophobic thing they do at one part, but other than that, mostly lame.
What's your favorite scary movie? Haunted Houses? Lame! Scary movies? Terrifying. I don't really like any of them. Some bother me less than others, but I don't voluntarily watch them.

What was your first Halloween costume? A gorilla. I was 2. My mom made it for me and it was awesome!
What will you be going as this year? The road. Ghost Baby is the speed bump.
(If you have kids or pets) What are you dressing the rest of your family up as? I don't dress up the cats for Halloween. I dress them up for Christmas pictures.
What's your favorite candy? Jelly Bellys.
When was the last time you went trick-or-treating? Sophmore year in college? We told people we were in high school.
Haunted houses: lame or terrifying? Usually terrifying. But I think the whole "scared straight houses" (this is the hell you'll go to if you're gay, that sort of thing) are lame beyond belief.
What's your favorite scary movie? Favorite is "Carrie." The scariest is "Halloween." Or "It." Does that count even though it's a TV movie?

What was your first Halloween costume? I have no idea. I know I was a care bear when I was really little, but I don't think it was my first.
What will you be going as this year? No idea. We are going to a football game so it needs to be warm. Maybe a ski bunny (lame, I know).
(If you have kids or pets) What are you dressing the rest of your family up as? We got my cat a bumblebee costume. She hates it. It make me cry laughing to think about her in it.

What's your favorite scary movie? None, I hate them. My favorite halloween movie is Hocus Pocus though.

Not sure...either a strawberry or a pumpkin. But my mom rocks and made me incredible costumes every year. I don't sew so hopefully someday she'll do the same for my kids!

We're not doing anything spectacular this year. We'll be visiting friends and I don't think there is anything planned.

My dog and cat would come after me if I dressed them up!

Reese's peanut butter cups. I eat the edges first.
When was the last time you went trick-or-treating?
I think soph/jun year of HS...then boyfriend and I pulled some of my grandfather's army clothes out of my dad's closet and went as Vets. I hopped around on crutches. We hit like 3 houses.

Neither/more on the lame side...I just don't care for them.

I hate scary movies.
As you can tell...Halloween isn't my favorite holiday. I am bummed I'm not going to be home to give out candy though. First Halloween in the house....would have been fun but the city I live in does it the Sat before during the middle of the day.
That is so weird. Like, it's mandatory? A kid couldn't even go out on Halloween if they wanted?

Haunted houses: lame or terrifying? Terrifying. My one friend loves them and I would go with her when we were younger because no one would go with her. I hated it!
What's your favorite scary movie? Probably The Shining. The first scary movie I ever saw was Children of the Corn and to this day corn fields freak me out
