So excited!
Ever since we met I have told DH that when we have a house I want a live Christmas tree. We always went to a tree farm growing up and cut down a live one. DH always had a fake tree and told me every time I brought it up that we were NOT getting a live tree. The tree we use is a hand-me-down from his grandma and only 6' tall and totally inadequate so we were going to have to get a new one this year.
Yesterday we were discussing the holidays and I threw it out there one last time and he agreed!! I'm so pumped. There's a great tree farm about 15 miles from here. So fun!!!

I miss the smell of live trees...we've had a fake one since one of our dogs knocked our real tree over one year and tried to eat the needles. So much for that one.

I love live trees, but we can't have one because the cat is a menace and likes to get into it and eat the needles.

Awesome! I did the same thing to DH a few years ago. He and his family always have a real tree that his Dad cuts down from somewhere out in the woods. My trees have always come from a box.
After having a real tree one year I was ok going back to fake, but only because I'm a neat freak and didn't like the needles. But I love the smell!
