I'm in crisis
I adore my father. He is smart, he is awesome. I want to be like him when I grow up.
I have recently learned that he loves Bill O'Reilly.
My parents have always had pretty moderate live and let live viewpoints. And we're Canadian, so you know we're already a bunch of Socialists. I am the same way, lean a little more liberal, but I see the merits of both sides on a lot of issues.
How can any reasonable person like Bill effing O'Reilly? He's an extremist, a sensationalist, plus he's just a straight up douchey assshole.
There has to be some random reason I'm missing that would make it ok to like him. Something that would explain my dad's enjoyment of him, right? RIGHT? HELP ME OUT HERE.

OK, I am going to turn this into a straight up immature whine thread.
Someone commented on one of my sister's wedding photos-- it's the photo of the cake and cupcakes, all made with love by YOURS TRULY. The person commented on how great the wedding details were. In turn, the photog commented "The Bride DIYed everything!". Then my sister made a cutesy comment along the lines of "Oh, just a few stress rashes and meltdown, no big deal, hee hee."
HOLYSHIT I'M LIVID. Hey sister, go ahead, take all the credit. Never mind that you didn't do ONE of those adorable details on your own. I DID THEM FOR YOU.

Jens, I don't know what would upset me more, a Bill O'Reilly lover in the family (btw, this is my FIL - he thinks O'Reilly is 'brilliant' Vomit), or getting no credit for my hard work in my sister's wedding. My sympathies.
A FB friend of mine had this status: My 4 year old son just said 'Mommy, Glenn Beck is going to save us all" Smart boy!
