Work drama (and it doesn't involve me!)
Some Tuesday morning insanity for your reading pleasure.
Yesterday, CW1 apparently had a rough night and came in about 10 minutes late. (Our office is really anal about tardiness.) CW2, whose office is right by the door, loudly announced CW1's late arrival, and then went out of her way to make another comment to CW1 a few minutes later. Unnecessary, but really not all that big of a deal. This morning, CW2 is out for training, so CW1 took this time to "talk" to management. Mind you, CW1 has mental issues and is on several medications for them. I didn't hear much of the conversation, but walked by when CW1 was already crying during her convo. This escalated to heaving sobs and near hysteria. She is now behind closed doors with her mom (who also works here) and another member of management and they are on the phone with doctors, possibly 911.

Wow. That is ummm...dramatic. I don't think CW2 was right in her comments but CW1 may benefit from a switch to decaf.
My most dramatic moment was when I realized that my friend ran out of the peach bourbon cupcakes she brought in. I was hoping for one that the bourbon forgot to bake out of.

Okay, if CW1's instability is well known around the office (and it sounds like it is), then CW2 is a biotch. I want a follow-up to this story.
And I want that cupcake recipe.
CW1's instability (and ease of slipping into hysterics) is well known in the office. CW2 can be a biotch. She's called me out for being late (again, not her job in any way) but I just make a smart@ss comment in return. CW2 is very cynical and unhappy here, but it's a smallish town and a government job, so she won't do anything about it. CW1 left shortly after the melee, but is now back and much calmer. Methinks she went to her doctor and got uber-medicated.
ETA: I was wrong, she came back but only briefly. Took the rest of the day off, I take it.
