It depends. What else are you wearing? Is the belt super-visible, or slightly covered? It can, but the rest of the outfit has to work with it.

I admit, this was kind of a selfish poll. You'll see why when you see my answers.
1. I used to when I was living at home, but this is the first year we've had trick-or-treaters so I'm not sure. I'm leaning towards yes.
2. No, and it made me think about how that kind of signifies a shift from having a home phone, because when you answer it and it's not for you, you often still chat with the person. So I never talk to H's family or friends, like I used to talk to, say, my mom's family/friends when I was living at home and they would call. Not a bad thing, just something I was thinking about. He will answer it for me if I'm there but unable to talk on the phone, so that he can relay info for me, or in the rare circumstances that he knows I'm expecting a call or that someone is on the way over or something, and I'm in the bathroom or whatever.
3. I hope so. It's what I'm wearing today, but the belt is covered by my sweater. I'm sort of wondering if black would have worked better.
4. Stuffing with sausage. Or pecan pie.
In that case, you're fine. If it's just gonna hint at a mis-match, but not really be one, and be broken up a bit by hiding behind your sweater, then I'm sure you look just fabulous and have nothing to worry about!

Does a dark brown belt look okay with camel-colored boots? ohhh! curve ball - i just dont like wearing belts altogether- but as long as you are repping shades of brown throughout the outfit (like a long lighter brown near matchy to boots sweater with dark brown belt) that would be fine - but if you are doing cream, camel, dark brown i say no deal! (hard to visualize though! wow im having a slow day for such an in depth answer)

Leah - I hate belts too, but these pants are super huge in the waist. I finally broke down and bought a belt just for them. Sidenote: as part of my HS dress code, belts were required, so I had a ton of funky belts in different colors. I think maybe being forced to wear belts is why I hate them now.
Also, experiment down time is why it's slow yet busy. I have a huge list of things to do, and it's all written out when I do each thing and in what order to keep the day from going til 10 (as it is, it will be kinda late anyway), but at the moment I can't do anything for another 45 min.
and Stef - when I was vegetarian, I got the Stovetop stuffing for myself at holidays and just used veggie broth from the store and it was damn good. Some of the flavors (I think cornbread and one other) don't have chicken broth in the ingredients, so check the box!

No. We're usually scrooges and turn off the porch light if we're home. The "kids" in our neighborhood are usually 13 year olds that don't even bother to dress up and just want the candy.

No. Not even if I ask him to. Sunday I was brushing my teeth and my mom called and he's just sitting there looking at the phone. Um, hello?! Pick it up!

I think so. Well, depends on the shade of dark brown, but I like to mix shades of brown together a lot. They're all earthy, so it works. Most of the time. :-)

Heck ya! We'll go out early with out little ones and then come home and hang out in our costumes after the kids are in bed and hand out candy.

Grammas homemade pickles! She passed a year ago and they only came out at Thanksgiving. She gave me a couple jars and I still have them stashed :-) It's my one last thing Im holding onto. All of my aunts and uncles took them all out of her house when she passed and they were home. At my wedding I figured out Im the only one with any! They all ate theirs!

When I was getting dressed this morning, I was thinking the same thing, which is why I went with it. It's REALLY dark, though, almost black. I think I would feel better about it if it was more medium brown. I'm obviously not going to go try and buy a camel-colored belt

I was just talking about that with my friend. I've never spoken with my MIL on the phone-she doesn't have my cell phone number and I don't answer it if she's calling and H is unavailable to answer. I guess this would change if we got a house phone, but I doubt we ever will!
