Halloween costumes

Since it's slow here today, is anyone else out there doing a halloween costume???  We weren't going to do anything, but there are several last-minute Halloween parties being planned, so we have to come up with something ASAP.  I typically enjoy the do-it-yourself costumes.

This year, I think DH and I are going to be Spy vs. Spy and make a bunch of signs that say "Ka-boom", "Smack", "Bang", etc on them.  Hopefully we can do this without spending any $$$

Re: Halloween costumes

  • H and I are dressing up, but nothing too crazy or original. We bought costumes and are going to be a Greek god and goddess. I wanted us to go as Wesley and Buttercup from "The Princess Bride", but H thought that wearing a mask was "gay". So he compromised by letting me buy a "pretty" costume instead.

  • No Halloween costume planned for me. DH has a football game at the stadium that day so he won't be home. I am going to hand out candy with Mom....so who knows what I will decide to throw together last minute.

  • Nope, no costumes this year :(  He'll be working during the day and we're not doing anything special that night.  Normally we'd go out to the beach bars with friends but I'm not doing that pregnant.  So, we're just going to answer the door which is fun anyways!   I just don't see the point in spending money for costumes when we're not leaving the house.  I hope next year we can do something fun like throw a little Halloween party!  I would have liked to do that this year, but we weren't sure if we'd still be in this house for Halloween and now is pretty short notice for me to put it all together.  BUT... he's been hankering to paint my bump so I think I'll get some paints and let him go at it!  I hope all you ladies post pictures of your costumes! I'm so jealous!!!
