Hey Marchies...it's been awhile since I've posted! Hope everyone is doing well!! Can you believe our weddings were 6/7 months ago?!!!
Anywho -- need some advice.
I am currently about 3 months pregnant. I am in a friend's wedding next September (obvi wont be pregnant for wedding), but she wants to start looking for BM dresses in November.
Assuming I am showing by then...how do I get fitted for my dress? Has anyone had experience with this before? Will the store know what to do? i would like to assume I'd go back to my regular weight after the baby but who knows! Due in May, wedding in Sept.
All I'm reading about online when I google pregnant BM is maternity BM dresses lol.
Any tips or advice would be great! Thanks!
xo, Laura
Re: It's been a while...
Woohoo... there is going to be a little baby S *and you finally braved your fear and ventured over to TN, although now I'm sure you're heading to TB*!
Depending on where she gets the dresses, you may have a little time after the wedding to order it. Also, you can always get a dress a little bigger and then have it altered down closer to the wedding when you know better what your size is. Most alterations for BMs don't start as early as brides anyways so you should be fine. Maybe order a size (or two) above what you normally are so that you can alter it down, as most dresses can usually be altered down two dress sizes before it affects the structure of the dress.
Congratulations! Another Marchie baby, so exciting!
Ditto Misa. If it were me I would order the dress 1-2 size(s) larger than my pre-pregnancy dress size. I got my dress for my BFF's wedding altered 2 weeks before and had it back in a few days.

You could possibly order the dress after baby is born when you have a better idea of how much weight you have gained and lose or do what pp's have said and order it big and then alter it down. Since there is less material to work with than a wedding dress, most places are able to get BM dress alterations done quickly.
Thanks ladies! I think I will order 2 sizes up just to be safe...someone over on the knot board I posted this on too mentioned that if I breast feed my boobs could be huge then so I'd want room there too so rather be too big than too small. I'd rather not wait til after the baby is born because it's only 4 months which might not be enough time and I'm sure the bride would want all the dresses ordered at the same time since colors can vary if the dresses are not all cut from the say dye lot.
Thank you for the input!!!
