shaken up

coming in to work i came up on a wreck. emergency workers weren't there yet, so it must've happened just minutes before I came by.

the car flipped and was on its top. when i got closer i saw that the driver was hanging out of the window and the car was on top of his head :( he had clearly passed away. I guess he had his window open and wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

i just can't get the image out of my head. praying for his family. :(

Re: shaken up

  • Oh my gosh, Lauren!!!  How awful...both the accident and the fact that you saw that.  Sending prayers for his family and for you and your peace of mind today!!

  • How horrible, I'm sorry you had to witness that. I saw something similar about 6 years ago on Thanksgiving and it really shook me up too. My prayers are with that guy's family.
  • Oh my, how terrible. I'm really sorry you had to start your day by seeing that. :( I'll be praying for his family - how tragic.

  • Oh my goodness, thats awful :(  Im sorry you had to see that, and sending T&P to that persons family today!
  • thanks guys. dh just found the story on our local news. it was actually a 31 y.o. woman. the way the car was, I couldn't even tell gender. I assumed a man by the shirt.they did confirm she wasn't wearing a seat belt in the story.

she was so young :(  this really could have had a totally different outcome had she had her seat belt on.

please make sure you all buckle up!

  • What a shame. Sorry you had to see that. I once saw something like that and I can still see it like it was yesterday. :(
  • mannn so sad :(
