I have missed you all. Work and life have gotten busy so I haven't been on the computer as much as I was when I was planning a wedding. How is everyone doing lately???
Life is good here - we got back from our honeymoon, remodelling our house, and just got a new puppy. 12 week old Bloodhound! Just the cutest thing in the world. We are also trying to get pregnant. Which brings me to my next comment ...
No board is like our board - I think the July 2010 board is the nicest of all. Other boards are too snarky for me. I was on the Trying to get Pregnant board and I was introducing myself and asking for words of ecouragment as this waiting game is too much for me. I want to know now. I mentioned that I am having "prego symptoms" and so on. One of the first responses was to tell me to lurk and not post right away and that they look down on posters who use the term "prego" we are adults not spagetti sauce.
I couldn't believe that. Here I am new to this baby making game looking for some advise and someone just criticizes me off the bat. Jeez, there is so much abreviating on every board that it is hard to keep up with - no need to be mean!
So that is final - you ladies will have to help me through this journey as you did the wedding. I don't know where else to post where I can actually get some helpful advise and not rude crabby people!

This is, by far, the best board out there! So...what kind of prego symptoms are you having? I shall live vicariously through you now as I would love to be trying for a little one...but circumstances are just not good right now for us.
Well I have been nausaus everyday for about a week, bloating, extremely swollen boobs, headahes, dull cramping, lower back aches, and moody. I realize those could be PMS symptoms, but I rarely ever get PMS symptoms except cramping and it is usually a lot stronger. I think I am about 5 days away from being late, but I am not sure as I am never regular. So I have taken tests everyday since Friday and they have all come up negative. I know it says to wait 3 day inbetween testing but I am so anxious to know and I am on medication that will have to be switched once I am Preggo (lol) sooo I want to know right away.
For sure I think I am going to stay away from that board. They are all charting the temps, watching everything little things. This is our first month trying so I don't want to take all the fun out of it by charting and checking this and knowing that and forcing DH to be on a schedule with me. What fun is that!?!?!?!

This is all very exciting!! DH & I got preggo accidentally, so I'm not up to date on a lot of the TTC lingo either. But I do know that my sister stopped her pill, then had one more full cycle before she was late.
When I was late, my boobs KILLLLED!! like, beyond. I remember hugging DH and them being so sensitive that I had to tell him to back off. I didn't have bad sickness, but my friend was nauseous as soon as she hit 5 weeks.
Are you already taking your pre-natal pills? and I totally agree on the stress of charting and scheduling. You definitely don't want it to feel like a chore
Oh, also, I was extremely sick the 24 hours after the day we conceived. We didn't realize it then, just pawned it off as food poisoning, but when we looked back at the dates, we realized that was when the deed was successful
But everyone reacts differently.

Sorry you were attacked! From reading some of the other boards, I got the feeling that Getting Pregnant is one of those that completely ignores the topic and everyone there is snarky. I don't understand having a board and not being able to actually use it for its purpose. Hopefully you can connect with other girls, though, it seems like on every board there are people TTC or who are pregnant.
I have also found that there is no board like this one.. i have been too busy to get on here but have recently lurked on the getting pregnant board for information on charting. I am going to get off birthcontrol soon and I wnated to know how to chart to try to avoid pregnancy.. i just want my body to get off all the stuff and be ready when we're ready.
I noticed that the pregnancy boards as a whole are really sensitive and it doesn't make sense. A friend of mine said that you should never announce your pregnancy extra excited because it makes the girls who have a hard time reallys ad... i just think it is sad that som eone who got preg easy can't be happy about her moment.. i do understand the flip side but it is all a little weird to me.. i do like the getting pregnant board in general but i've never posted!

that really stinks that they were jerks about stupid stuff. id stay away from them and stay here instead. we might not know as much about TTC but we're WAY cooler.

The TTC > 35 board ladies are super-nice.
Good luck trying to get pregnant ... and I know it's hard, but try to wait until you're late to POAS or you'll drive yourself nuts.
FWIW, the month I stopped BCP I had all of those symptoms ... then nothing. And I had all of those symptoms both times I was pregnant. lol
I guess best advice is if you're TTC...live your life as if you're already pregnant. No drinking, smoking, eating right, exercise, prenatal vitamins...all that good stuff. It's so hard to say since like PP said those are all symptoms and signs of hormonal fluctuations...but due to what? Going off BC, PMS, pregnanacy. Just wait a bit and see what happens. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you guys, though!!! Super exciting!!!!
I agree, this board really is the best...sorry they were so mean at TTGP. I lurked over there for a month or two but never posted because of all the mean comments I saw...I was too afraid of those girls, they are really harsh!
We're expecting and I have to say that once you cross over to the 1st tri board, they are much nicer and welcoming, but its still not the same as this wonderful board.
I had mostly the same symptoms you're describing...esp. the sore boobs.

I'm shocked! I'm so glad you can feel free to post here! No cyber bullies here! haha cuz really it's insane that people write things back like that. Even when I post sometimes on yahoo answers people just treat you like your stupid.
