So very stressed & bummed
Okay so heres the short version (hopefully) lol
Were suppose to close on our house TMRW our real estate agent gets a call & an email *yesterday*, yes yesterday! about the city inspection results..... with the list they gave us, either of these HAS to happen:
A: Bank helps pay for some/most of the repairs & we take on the left overs.
B: We back out & move on.
either option, we cannot close tmrw
even with option A the closing would still have to get pushed back to god only knows how long!! I am soooo disappointed & irritated & stressed out.
Warning
No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
Re: So very stressed & bummed
I'm so sorry...that sucks so bad for you guys. Keep in mind though...if the repairs needed are that extensive, you may have to just appreciate this a sign to keep you from getting in over your heads.
If you are able to take a little time on this to determine what you want to do...could you take some time to see if there is something else out there you love that won't kill you in repairs?
Regardless...I know how badly it hurts to be so close to having something you love and basically having the rug pulled out from under you. Many hugs!!!
that sucks
what types of repairs are they? do you think its something the bank would be willing to pay for? you definitely dont want to be paying for repairs on your house before you even close on it -- that puts you in a position where they could back out after you paid for stuff!!
coming from a person who purchased a house with a lot of issues, or soon-to-be-issues, like the roof needing to be replaced within the next year, serious water problems in the basement, etc, its a freaking hassle and its very annoying. if the house is a great deal and you still think you'll be getting a good deal even if you have to pay for some repairs after you close, then go for it still. but keep in mind that if you have known repairs, its very VERY likely that they will baloon into other stuff that is found during the repair process. huge problems can hide behind smaller ones.
if it was me, id tell the bank to fix everything or there's no deal.
