I need help. I'm MOH twice in 2011, so I have 2 Bachelorette's to plan. I'm not friends with any of the BM's in either wedding, and most of them are cousins or future SIL's etc. The brides aren't friends with each other, but I kinda feel like they both have had a lot of similarities so far...
They both got engaged within the same 24hr period, I'm MOH and my babygirl is FG, originally they both picked the same wedding date and they randomly found their dress in the same week. Everytime I'm excited and talking to one about something, it happens with the other. And when one asked Zoe to be FG, she almost was embarrassed to call her a FG because I had just told her that Zoe was going to be FG for the other's wedding.
I need ideas. What did you do for yours? What did you love? What did you hate? What would you have wanted different?
TIA!!

Re: Bach ideas
My bachelorette was an overnight at a casino. My first choice would have been some kind of overnight, so it was great. We went swimming and layed out by the pool, went to dinner, gambled a little bit, did a scavenger hunt, and walked around the casino some more before going back to our room. The next morning we had brunch at the restaurant and went to a Titanic exhibit.
What I hated and would have changed... if my sisters did more than (just barely) show up. My MOH planned and paid for the whole thing, and they knew a month ahead of time all of the exact plans. Yet, one of them didn't even start looking for a babysitter until the night before. Them getting there caused so much stress and disappointment, and they left after only a few hours, it really put a damper on the whole thing for me.
My bachelorette was awesome!
We saw Twilight Eclipse at the midnight showing (it was good timing though lol). But first we went out to dinner at Olive Garden. I think my MoH paid for my dinner...
I think she bought the tickets but everyone paid her back (or was suppose to).
We drove in two or three cars and on the way a few of the girls stopped and got a deck of cards and some things to do while we were in line and some alcohol and movie snacks.
We were SUPPOSE to go to Dave and Busters in between dinner and the movie...that would have been really cool but we took to long at Olive Garden and stuff but I still had a blast!
It was just fun and I don't think it was too expensive for anyone.
mine was plain and i loved it. i wanted something laid back and not too crazy and i got exactly that (thanks to my awesome sis/MOH). we got manis and pedis done at a salon, and then got yummy sandwiches at the healthfood store down the block. it was going to be fanicier but we had a tornado that day (3 days before the wedding lol) and mostly everything lost power.

I love you, Daddy...2/24/1953 to 2/13/2011

I absolutely loved mine. One of my MOHs still lives in our college town (which I adore), and so we all met at her apartment. She had us do a spa day with at home manis and pedis and a foot soak. My BMs decorated the apartment and we played a few games. They made delicious food too! We then went out to our college campus and took lots of cute photos at several locations where everyone took photos (i.e. the statue of James Madison, on the quad, etc). Then we went to B-Dubs (Buffalo Wild Wings) for dinner, which is a local favorite, and then we went to a local lounge in Old Town for drinks. We then went home and drank some more and made drunk brownies. It wasn't "flashy" but I absolutely loved it. It fit me perfectly. I'm not a club-girl, and I still thnk of my college town as home, so it was the best. Maybe one of your bride-to-be friends has a place they feel especially close to that would be a good spot for a party?
We went to a Rockies game. We're only an hour and a half from Denver, so it was a night out without being too pricey. I had a great time. It was a little awkward that not all of my friends knew each other, but we all got along really well.
It might have been fun to head out to the bars, but most of my friends aren't into that, and getting a hotel room would have been expensive.
The game was perfect--we were able to get a great deal on seats, and girls could drink or not without feeling any pressure.
It was a perfect fit for me. I'm a baseball kind of gal.
