Another KDWB follow up
I sat in my car until the end of it before going into work this morning. They got a hold of Sherri. It was like pulling teeth trying to get her to answer anything, and when she did they were short one word answers. Eventually DR said look, you were the one that called us, and you were so open about everything...and now you won't tell us anything and we're flying you home (not that it's a reason to spill your guts, but come on). She basically said she just felt stupid and ashamed.
Then she slowly spilled more. Things in Vegas were okay- they gambled, hung out, whatever...and did get physical. Later she said the physical stuff got "aggressive" but didn't really get into it anymore than that. She sounded like she was in shock. They asked her why she still went to LA with him, and she said "well, I guess I thought it'd get better (ugh! really!?)." On the way to LA, he started talking about harming animals and hurting people like it was no big deal. She doesn't think he's ever done anything to land him in jail but at this point didn't know WHAT to believe (if anything was true). She told him to immediately take her to a hotel, and then she switched hotels (at least she did that) so he wouldn't know where she was. Flying home today. The end.

Thankfully she was able to get away from it unharmed, we hope.
Insane though.
Wow, I'm so glad she's okay...she is so lucky! I'm sure she won't be putting herself in that situation again, and I really hope it prevents other people from making a similar mistake.

I still think there's something weird going on. If things were so good in Las Vegas, why didn't she answer the phone the morning after she met him like she said she would? It seems like she was trying to hide something from the beginning. She only contacted KDWB after she needed them to fly her home.
But maybe I'm biased because I'm so annoyed by the way she says "ummmmm...." before every answer.
I guess I haven't heard all of the clips from KDWB, but if the guy didn't know she was talking with a radio station about all the details, than I wouldn't have been answering my phone the next day either. She might not have had a moment to be alone, especially if the guy was abusive or aggressive.
Me too! This morning was the most awkward phone conversation ever. Long drawn out pauses and short blunt answers. I'm surprised the DJs actually got her talking about details at all.
