I am starting my Married Life Healthy Lifestyle today

I have had the after wedding blues and put on 5 pounds... I am done pouting.  I am starting my official Healthy Lifestyle today!  Today I will eat under 1200 calories and take a walk during lunch.  When I come home I will make squash soup and chicken for dinner!  Delish!  Wish me luck!

  • Good luck!! I've probably put on weight since the HM, but I have no motivation to change anything :-/

  • Good luck!  Sounds like a great plan!  I haven't started dieting, but I was feeling blah and like I was gaining weight, so I started running 3 weeks ago.  I'm determined to keep it up, and get myself back into shape!  We should do a weekly check-in.

  • I'll start today too. :) I decided to just weigh in, as I've been completely avoiding it because I've felt so chubby and gross...but it's really not bad.. 144...and wedding day I was 139...so thats not much..(I was more in the 155 range last year...so definately lower than a year ago!)..so perhaps the reason why I feel so gross is inactivity and just eating junk.

my goals are going to be cutting unnecessary take out orders (i work night shift at a hospital, and we order alllllllllllll the time.), eating more balanced meals, and getting at least 30 min of additional exercise per day to start with.

I just want to feel better in my body like i did pre wedding..so if i do in a few months, ill consider this all a success :)

  • Mmmm... your dinner sounds yummy.  Can I join?

I totally know what you mean, though.  I have been trying to eat better and make time for exercising.  DH and I have P90X at home, so that's been really nice and I really don't have an excuse for not working out (yet I still seem to make one every now and again).  Trying to eat better, too.  I also just want to feel good about myself and my figure again.

  • This post made me feel better!  I haven't gained any weight, but I FEEL bad, since I've been a lot more inactive lately.  I eat well, and drink water all the time, etc., but I need to up to movement factor...haven't been to a dance class in ages. :-(

Will begin at home regimen of daily exercise and if you girls check in periodically, I may join you :-)

  • I have gained 5 pounds since the wedding, it's not a lot but since I am petite I can def. notice the weight gain in my belly area.  I started the pilates challenge at the studio I go to, the challenge is to do 3 classes a week and in 30 classes, or 10 weeks we will all supposedly notice results and "have a new body" - I signed up because going 3x a week pre-wedding def. helped me to be tone for the wedding.  My goal is to have a bikini body for our honeymoon in January and to avoid temptation of the holidays!
