Anyone been to the Keys?
We will be going in 2 weeks (woo hoo). We will be driving from Ft Lauderdale down to Key West. Anyone ever do the drive down? Are there any places that we must stop and check out on the way down?

We drove from Panama City. Traffic around Miami was a nightmare. The drive across to the Keys is gorgeous. There are a ton of great little hole in the wall restaurants, though I can't think of any off hand. Last time I was there it was 2003, near Thanksgiving/Christmas and I remember it being really nice during the day and chilly if you were having dinner right on the water.
Have fun and take lots of pictures.
We are really looking forward to it. I always wanted to do the drive. We even rented a Mustang convertible for the trip. I am sure we will have no problems finding a place to get good eats. I did read that the drive was slow but we have no place to be!
